Summary
Finally allowed to see Christopher again after the lawsuit debacle, Buck takes him to an observation deck on the top of a skyscraper in downtown LA when an earthquake suddenly hits the city. As Buck does everything in his might to get Christopher out of the crumbling building and back to Eddie, a race against time begins that Buck is determined to win.
Or, an earthquake, a collapsing building and Buck's sheer endless bad luck are not a good combination.

Summary
In which Buck finds himself embroiled in a less than stellar relationship in order to cope with his failures. He deserves everything that's happening to him, surely.
Buck climbed down from the truck, face blank. He'd been put on the sidelines again. Single man on hose duty while Eddie got two kids out of a burning building. When they returned to the firehouse, Bobby didn't bother speaking to him other than the cursory, "You're on cleaning duty tonight."
Buck nodded placidly, and went off to get a mop.

Summary
He barely has enough energy to make it to his house, let alone psychoanalyze his hallucinations or take a sledgehammer to the wall around Buck in his head. Eddie knows he thinks about him more than he should. He ignores it, just like he ignored the text updates Buck sent him about his night with Christopher.
Or, Eddie is trying to make sense of his feelings by fighting them out and that is about as helpful as it sounds.

Summary
Buck had driven to a mountain trail from the grocery store where he and the team ended up in confrontation with his ex-best friend yelling at him that he was exhausting and a bad father to his not-son.
Tears streamed down his face as he sat there thinking over and over again at the words yelled at him and no one stopped it. Further thoughts on his no longer father figure breaking their father/son bonds by his words that it was Bobby’s fault Buck had no job. And yet Buck had set new records in his requalification rounds.Buck had only asked for his lawyer fees to be paid and his job back when the settlement time came, something all sides agreed too, and the Chief had left him his number if there was a problem later on.
Now though, he sniffed, he had a thought. He called and left a message that, if possible, everyone in the station and not just on A-Shift had to go through their requifications like he did. Especially those like Howard Han who had been injured and off the job for a time and immediately came back on bypassing their requalifications entirely.Bookmarked by 2manyships1980
