Summary
It wasn't supposed to be this way. Just when Rory and Jess finally think they have it all figured out, it turns out that life has other plans. It has been over a year since they last saw each other, since they last spoke to each other, since they last kissed. Both have wondered about the other, considered reaching out to each other, but now is not the time for a reunion, not as both their lives are falling apart. But again, life has other plans.
This is kind of a season eight. It takes place post original series but with some differences. See author notes for more details.
