Summary
"Vex’ahlia and Vax’ildan can’t remember a time when they were static; they’ve always been in-between. Not quite elf or human, not quite one person or two, not quite male or female. "
A character study of a genderfluid Vex and Vax and how that might change the story.

Summary
"I am a female, 23 year old felon with no high school degree and a Harley Davidson motorbike one year younger than me. I can play anywhere between the ages of 20 and 28 depending on make-up and clothing. I’m a university student and also work part time at a bar. If you’d like to have me as your strictly platonic date for Thanksgiving, but have me pretend to be in a very long or serious relationship with you, to torment your family, I’m game.
I can do these things at your request:
openly hit on other guests while you act like you dont noticestart instigative discussions about politics, sexuality and/or religion
propose to you in front of everyone
pretend to be really drunk as the evening goes on (sorry, i dont drink but i have first hand experience of rowdy drunks due to my job)
start an actual, physical fight with a family member, either inside or on the front lawn for all the neighbours to see.
I require no pay but the free meal I will receive as a guest!"

Summary
It had been a year, a full year, since they had heard from Moriarty. Which was perhaps why Joan was as surprised as she was, though she had every right to be; it wasn’t every day you woke up to your archenemy in your bedroom.

Summary
Dennis shrugs. "Maybe she likes you. Weren't you saying you wanted people to like you?"
"Fuck off. I never said that." Trinity says brusquely, "And no, she doesn't. She wants something from me; that's why she talks in therapese. 'Holding space,' like, c'mon. If I needed a shrink, I'd go put out some feelers to Jefferson."
Trinity has never once put out feelers for anything that wasn't work-related. Some organisms just don't have the anatomy for feelers. It was torn out of her at some point, and whatever ate it is still out there, somewhere, digesting.
"You don't have a therapist?"
"I'm getting another beer."
Trinity Santos is fine, actually. Fine about being quasi-dumped by Garcia. Fine about Robby going AWOL. Fine about whatever's going on with Dennis. She is, by every clinical measure, the most composed she's ever been in her twenty-seven years on this earth. Which is why she's not going to make a whole thing out of Dr. Al-Hashimi, who is temporary, insufferable, deeply weird, and maybe, in fact, ruining her life on a cellular level. Whatever. It's fine. Everything is so fine.

Summary
Garcia has one rule: no touching at work. Santos has one hobby: stress-testing rules for structural weaknesses.
The bet is simple. Loser cooks for a month. Then Santos shows up with a mullet, and Garcia realizes she is not playing against an improviser—she is playing against someone with a list of every unguarded thing Garcia has ever said in the dark, and a plan to execute it item by item.

Summary
The kinky side of their hookups had escalated so slowly and so subtly that there wasn’t really an obvious point to have a kink negotiation, since this was supposed to be casual, vanilla sex. Yolanda had taken the fact that Trinity hadn’t protested, still came when Yolanda called, still reached out in return, as proof that Trinity was into the same things.
Historically, Yolanda has liked tormenting her partners in bed—taking them apart, making them lose their minds, and eventually putting them back together—but only in a way they’re okay with, of course. For most people, that’s through pain.
Trinity, apparently, loses it when Yolanda is nice to her.

Summary
Trinity Santos has spent the last three summers working on the Sirocco. It's her last summer as lead deck hand before medical school and one good tip could be the difference between a fall start and the saved deferral form on her laptop.
When Yolanda and Baran charter the yacht for their tenth anniversary, Trinity learns that the most dangerous guests aren't the cruel ones but the ones who make being taken care of feel like something she might not have to pay back.

Summary
A Cajun chef and a cargo hold of other humans are captured by Aliens. Zygerrian slavers. Turns out that Star Wars is real, George Lucas had visions, and it's the middle of the Clone Wars.
Of course, the visions scrambled the order of things, people look nothing like the actors cast for them, and humans do not domesticate well. Still, how much trouble can a few humans cause?
All of it. All the trouble.
