Summary
Dennis shrugs. "Maybe she likes you. Weren't you saying you wanted people to like you?"
"Fuck off. I never said that." Trinity says brusquely, "And no, she doesn't. She wants something from me; that's why she talks in therapese. 'Holding space,' like, c'mon. If I needed a shrink, I'd go put out some feelers to Jefferson."
Trinity has never once put out feelers for anything that wasn't work-related. Some organisms just don't have the anatomy for feelers. It was torn out of her at some point, and whatever ate it is still out there, somewhere, digesting.
"You don't have a therapist?"
"I'm getting another beer."
Trinity Santos is fine, actually. Fine about being quasi-dumped by Garcia. Fine about Robby going AWOL. Fine about whatever's going on with Dennis. She is, by every clinical measure, the most composed she's ever been in her twenty-seven years on this earth. Which is why she's not going to make a whole thing out of Dr. Al-Hashimi, who is temporary, insufferable, deeply weird, and maybe, in fact, ruining her life on a cellular level. Whatever. It's fine. Everything is so fine.

Summary
Garcia has one rule: no touching at work. Santos has one hobby: stress-testing rules for structural weaknesses.
The bet is simple. Loser cooks for a month. Then Santos shows up with a mullet, and Garcia realizes she is not playing against an improviser—she is playing against someone with a list of every unguarded thing Garcia has ever said in the dark, and a plan to execute it item by item.

Summary
The kinky side of their hookups had escalated so slowly and so subtly that there wasn’t really an obvious point to have a kink negotiation, since this was supposed to be casual, vanilla sex. Yolanda had taken the fact that Trinity hadn’t protested, still came when Yolanda called, still reached out in return, as proof that Trinity was into the same things.
Historically, Yolanda has liked tormenting her partners in bed—taking them apart, making them lose their minds, and eventually putting them back together—but only in a way they’re okay with, of course. For most people, that’s through pain.
Trinity, apparently, loses it when Yolanda is nice to her.

Summary
Trinity Santos has spent the last three summers working on the Sirocco. It's her last summer as lead deck hand before medical school and one good tip could be the difference between a fall start and the saved deferral form on her laptop.
When Yolanda and Baran charter the yacht for their tenth anniversary, Trinity learns that the most dangerous guests aren't the cruel ones but the ones who make being taken care of feel like something she might not have to pay back.

Summary
A Cajun chef and a cargo hold of other humans are captured by Aliens. Zygerrian slavers. Turns out that Star Wars is real, George Lucas had visions, and it's the middle of the Clone Wars.
Of course, the visions scrambled the order of things, people look nothing like the actors cast for them, and humans do not domesticate well. Still, how much trouble can a few humans cause?
All of it. All the trouble.

Summary
“She’s really something, isn’t she?” Dennis whispered, sidling up to Trinity, a half eaten granola bar in his hand. “So… precise.”
Trinity snorted. “She’s a robot, Huckleberry. A very well dressed, anal retentive robot.”
“But she’s good,” Dennis murmured, almost to himself. “She caught that arrhythmia in South 5 before anyone else did.”
Trinity shot him a look. “Don’t go over to the dark side, Whitaker. We’re suffering together.”
He gave her a sympathetic grin. “You gonna get those charts done?”

Summary
She looks at Baran’s mouth. She could kiss her, she thinks.
‘Trinity,’ Baran says, voice low and edged with warning.
‘What?’ She looks straight at Baran, smirks a little.
‘What are you doing?’ She tilts her head, bores straight into Trinity’s eyes.
Trinity’s heart drops deliciously. Baran’s eyes glint and her voice is so honeyed and she’s looking at her like fucking that and of course Trinity is gonna fucking say something. Trinity isn’t even really flirting with her, not yet.
‘’M not doing anything,’ she mumbles. She leans a little closer.
Baran smirks. ‘Trinity.’
‘What?’ she repeats. She’s smiling. She could kiss her.

Summary
Before she can stop herself, Trinity is reaching for Baran’s arm, holding her wrist with a desperation that makes her grip tight. Her eyes pierce through Baran and the woman almost flinches at the distress she sees in the pale green depths.
“Can I trust you?” Trinity's voice wavers and Baran searches her eyes, seeing the despair of someone who has never known who she can rely on. She knows the look well; it has stared back at her from the mirror many times.
“I'd like to think so,” she says in a steady voice. Trinity’s hand is slightly sweaty and very warm, and she can feel a current of anxiety running under the woman’s skin but she doesn't move.
A pause, then in the same steady voice, "I trust you.”

Love can grow in the wildest of locations.
Even in divorced, exhausted charge nurses, unsure if they have more years of this job left in them.
Even in twenty-something graduate nurses, wide-eyed and wondering if they can do this job at all.
Even in a place known best as “the pitt.”

Summary
“I’m sorry, baby,” Cassie murmurs. Her thumb coaxes gently back and forth across Trinity’s face.
Trinity’s thighs clench. A whine plays at her throat, but she has just enough sanity left in her head to push it down, never to see the light of day. She’s not gonna fucking whimper in front of McKay, her superior. That’s not happening.
“‘S fine,” she says, but she chokes on her words as her abdomen tightens painfully. Her eyes water. Fucking cramps.

Summary
"'thank you for my first slumber party.'
samira is so close. trinity aches and wants and wants and fucking wants, all the time, until it eats her from the inside out, rotten and wrong. but samira is so soft and lovely and trinity has let her in, and she's still in her bed, even in the dark. it's a young feeling, one trinity never really got to have, she'll realize belatedly, to have her heart race in her chest and her palms suddenly get sweaty: not the aniticipation of easy, meaningless sex, or even the thrill of flirting. trinty brings her palm to samira's jaw. 'can i kiss you?'
'yes,' samira says simply, a brief look of utter relief crossing her face that makes trinity smile as she leans forward and presses her lips against samira's. she tastes like wine and popcorn and spearmint toothpaste and trinity presses her knee between samira's legs. she feels a wound begin to close, somewhere deep inside her, as samira scrapes her teeth along trinity's bottom lip: still gentle, still kind. they kiss for a little bit more, then back up, rest their foreheads against each other."

Summary
Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi can't seem to stay away from Trinity Santos.
Dr. Al-Hashimi is nothing if not a rule-follower, but there is something about Trinity that causes cracks to appear in the surface, and that classic Al-Hashimi composure may falter under Trinity’s spell.

Summary
Memory can be funny like that. Trinity looks at her and remembers the Yolanda from months ago, sat across from her with a drink in hand, their knees brushing every time one of them leaned in to say something. The dim lighting of the bar had softened her eyes, painting her face into an expression that could almost be mistaken for the same longing that echoed inside Trinity’s chest.
A lot can change in ten months. Not all of it for the better.
Or: It happens in increments, like all the worst things do.

Summary
"Why don't you go shower while I get dinner started?"
Trinity's mouth opens and for a brief second, nothing comes out. It's not that she doesn't have words. She has too many words, stacked in her throat like plates she's afraid to drop—a series of things she would love to vomit at Yolanda's feet, purging them from her body so that she doesn't have to carry them around anymore. But that's not what she asked. Trinity swallows hard, choking down her desire to be difficult. Now is not the time for complaints. Instead, she forces a weary smile, and hedges, "You don't have to do that."

"That's a very pretty speech," Garcia says, and then she goes quiet, and Victoria watches her face do something she has seen before. The face of someone who has just decided they have a card and is deciding whether to play it. "Is that what this is about? Teaching?"
"What else would—"
"Or is it something else." Garcia's eyes move, briefly, to Victoria—just a flick of attention, barely two seconds yet entirely intentional—and back to McKay.
Victoria's stomach drops.

Summary
Whitaker shrugs sort of helplessly and sucks in a big gulp of air like he can’t get the words out fast enough. “Normally when she gets upset, she just does everything faster and louder until she burns off whatever it is. But this time she’s—something’s really wrong.”
“And you're telling me because…?” Garcia wants to know, wants to hear him say it.
“You spend the most time with her,” he reasons. “And I know you’re not—y’know—exchanging life stories,” Whitaker acknowledges awkwardly, “but I thought you might… like, maybe she’s told you something, or—?”
“She hasn’t,” Garcia interrupts, crossing her arms and setting her posture. “We’re just sleeping together. Your roommate’s nervous breakdown, your problem.”
Now Whitaker looks properly pissed, which Garcia didn’t even know his little cherub face was capable of.

Garcia stares at him.
Because that… does not match the information she has.
