    His, no, her legend would start again, but this time, she has another red head to go with her.

     

    “Oppa, you’re too cool.” Cale said nonchalantly as she gazed at her brother slamming an enemy to the ground.

    “Is that so?” Cale’s gaze was met with another stoic gaze. Though it seemed cold, it was actually a happy gaze.

    Alberu gazed at the two redheads projected in his video communication device as he shook his head.

    “You’re both driving me nuts…” Alberu muttered as he massaged his temples.

    Choi Han observed the scene while holding the video communication device, and chuckled a bit.

    Reaching the fifth floor Cale’s vision finally centers on a pedestal in the middle of the room, a rock on top of it. “Everything,” Cale says, “For my home, for my family. I would sacrifice everything.”

    The voice sighed at his response

    - Then I’ll do my best, go forth to the pedestal and eat the rock on top. In return, my power will ensure you never will have to sacrifice yourself.

    Hearing the words Cale seemed to hesitate for a second, something about his noble sensibilities getting offended, but he realized he’s put worse things in his mouth, and got on with it. (It was a cheap whiskey after a bad argument with his father, now that was vile.)

    Choi Han was watching Cale with the eyes of a hawk, his earlier words ringing in his ears. As Cale approached the pedestal, mentally preparing to tackle the man if something even hints at an actual sacrifice.

    What.

    Did he just eat a rock???

Squinting his eyes towards the sky he suddenly registers that the red is actually only blending on his left side. Turning his head he makes eye contact with a fascinating mix of red brown and gold.

    Taking in the full picture he sees a mermaid staring back at him, the mermaid being painted in red scales, but unlike the mermaids he’s seen before. ( Memories of thrashing water and his mother's powerful voice flow into his head before, the mermaid that had grabbed a hold of his arm looking more like a fish than a human, eye’s clouded in open air and scales covering every inch of the creature's body.)

Unwilling to leave the little dragon to fend for itself when it had already been through so much, Kim Rok Soo took it back to his home so that it could heal. He figured that once it felt better it would leave, since dragons were typically proud and solitary creatures, but instead of a temporary guest he gained a second shadow.

What is he to do when his dragon pride demands that he save a suffering dragon child, or tells him to stop that crazy secret organization from ruining the world. All he wanted was the life of a slacker!

    AKA: Kim Rok Soo reincarnates as a dragon and still ends up interfering with the original plot of the novel.

    Just to open them and be met with a vast sweltering and shimmering desert. He realizes he is considerably shorter, yet for the small mercies of whoever sent him here, he is still in his body- albeit.. younger. He incredulously blinks as he stares at the small pale hand of his current body before he is hit with a strong wave of pain in his head. He can hear people bickering..

    That is when, he realizes, he, Kim Rok Soo, can hear not one, but the voices of several gods at once.
