"Dude, speak up,” Abby nearly snaps when Frank, again, mumbles something completely unintelligible into his hands. “I’m not fluent in moron, they haven’t made it available on Duolingo yet.”
But when she finally manages to pry Frank's hands away from his face, she has the terrible realization that he might be crying.
“Oh my god,” she whispers, half amazed, half mortified. Maybe 1% absolutely fed up. “What the hell does Mel want to ask me?”

Summary
Shortly after returning from their Hersheypark honeymoon, Mel and Frank are forced to contend with a series of unfortunate events. For Mel, it's simply relentless fatigue. For Frank, it's a little more dire: a family tragedy unfolding and the discovery of concerning test results for a patient with zero paper trail.
There are lessons to be learned:
1) True friends will never forget you
2) Don't chug a ton of water if you're going to jump around onstage

She notices it first when she sees him walk into the hub. More dishevelled than usual. Stubble that hadn’t been there a few days prior, bags under his eyes like he’d worked a double, hair messy not in the purposeful way he always styled it but actual honest to God bedhead.
