Summary
Surviving in the wilderness really isn't all it's cracked up to be.
After being gone for a year, John Dory returns to the Troll Tree to find it completely empty. Save for one troll: His baby brother, Branch. Thinking the trolls and the rest of his family dead, he sets off once again to the Neverglade Trail, this time, with his baby brother in tow. Fueled by fear, guilt, and voices from the past he just can't seem to escape, he wonders if he made the right decision.
But he promised his brother he would never leave him again. So he wouldn't.
Besides, he was never known for his great decisions anyways.
(Based on the song "Great Decisions" by Judah & the Lion)

Or... I needed to write more John Dory and Branch ANGST, so here's my rewrite of canon, where John Dory goes back and raises Branch out in the wilderness, and other subsequent shenanigans. Let's see how this goes, shall we?

He hated seeing her like this, the dosage increasing was hard on her stomach and this wasn't the first time it had happened. When they were kids she had thrown up on the dinner table, derailing his plan to talk to Dad about time travel that day. Five decided to look into her medication, hoping to find something that wouldn't make her so sick. She had been taking it since they were kids after all, maybe it was time for a second opinion.
But his investigation leads to some horrible revelations.

Summary
A short series connecting some of the pieces between S3 and S4 and following S4E6 Hope Patrol.
The installments focus on the connections between the members of the Doom Patrol, but especially the immediate aftermath of Larry returning from Orqwith sans his longevity and integrating Rama as a new member.
It will continue to exist as long as I have ideas, and it seems like people want to read. Which it doesn't like that's very many, but I'll run with whatever inspiration I have.

April burst out into uproarious laughter, her giggles so uncontrollable that the mutant that could only be Raphael had to ease up his grip on his sai. He just stared at her in confusion, as did the rest of his brothers, as April struggled to quiet her laughter.
“I’m – I’m sorry,” April said between giggles. It was so bad that her glasses started fogging up. “You’re just – really short.”
