Summary
Vox gets the idea (from Husker, of all people) to try ignoring Alastor, for once.
Vox just wanted Alastor to get a little pissed off. Maybe start showing Vox some attention instead of the other way around.
He didn’t expect Alastor to get so… possessive.

Stitched Up: Part 1 of the Mixed Signals Duology
Alastor's wound from the battle with Adam is not healing. Out of time and out of choices, he decides to raid VoxTek for their new medical product--only to be caught before he can use it. Vox, ever the opportunist, offers him a deal that he is in no position to refuse...
Story Notes / Content Warnings:
- This is officially an AU! Canon divergent post-Season 1.
- Alastor is represented as a sex-indifferent asexual in this story (an individual with no desire for sex but no particular repulsion for the act). (With thanks to Manuscripts Don’t Burn for the terminology!)
- Due to the nature of Vox and Alastor's deal, all acts between them fall under the 'DubCon' umbrella.
- There will be violence. There will also be cuddling.

Summary
Vox couldn't be implying what Alastor thought he was implying. He simply couldn't.
“Are you telling me that this won't subside unless we... have sex? Or – what? It's going to kill me?” Alastor ground out, refusing to lower his legs from his protective curl, doing his best to keep still and ignore the heat flaring over his skin – the pounding from below his navel.
Vox's signal was difficult to read – or perhaps it was that Alastor was simply too distracted, the aching need between his legs making bile rise at the back of his throat. Vox didn't feel terrified, though, which Alastor liked to imagine he would if his life was actually on the line.
The TV demon swallowed, his screen darkening.

Summary
The experience of watching Vox disappear into a blue streak and zip into a light, only to reappear in a flash that left after images of his form hovering in Alastor’s vision like a poorly developed roll of film – it was, not to use a phrase that might be seen as predictable, but really was the only fitting word – electrifying.
He’d fought Vox many times over the years of their enmity, but he'd usually been focused on his own next move, planning on when to sink into the shadows, or busy lashing out with a tendril to catch Vox off guard, sending him crashing to the floor while he disappeared with a dark echo of laughter. He’d never quite appreciated how fascinating it was to watch the TV demon use his powers this way, so similar and yet so different from Alastor’s own.
Light in comparison to darkness. Quick, jagged movements instead of the murky flow Alastor utilised. Two sides of the same coin, really, and it was simply a shame it had taken him so long to realise that fact.

Summary
Consciousness slowly worked its way into Alastor's mind, and the first thing he became aware of was the faint hum of electricity mixed with a smell of heated metal.
The second thing he realised was that his head was resting on something solid and warm, and a set of metal tipped claws were running over his ears, his own static buzzing in contentment.
He slitted open one eye, cautiously looking down at his chest, preparing for the worst. His shirt was open halfway, and Vox's hand was on top of the electromagnet, pulsing a steady stream of power into it. It glowed too brightly for him to look at for long, and he sighed, closing that eye and turning his head, nosing further into the comforting warmth in front of his face.
Only to let out an irritated burst of static when Vox let out a choked noise and the hand that had been on his ears immediately pressed into his forehead, forcing him back.
