As though that was a signal, the body underneath you jolts into motion, starting to thrash around immediately.
“No,” they hiss, making absolutely no progress, shifting from slapping to clawing, a frantic attack that’s every bit as futile as the slaps from before, no leverage, too much blood lost- “no, no, Stardust don’t you dare-”
“This is Loop,” you say, because you’re really good at making terrible life choices. “They’re–”
Loop slams you in the ribs with a Rock attack.
Or: Loop shows up, looking considerably different from the last time Siffrin saw them, and also bleeding all over the nice inn's floor and in need of a bit of help. In another world, perhaps they might have managed to deal with things nicely, neatly, and discreetly, letting Loop slip away afterwards with nobody ever being the wiser.
As this is not that world, they- of course- get caught.
