Between the gruesome corpses and the quiet, unsettling doctor Cullen who shows up like a statue in pressed slacks, lying through his teeth, Charlie’s got more questions than answers—and no one seems too keen on giving him either.
Charlie’s trying not to notice how his breath catches when the doc gets too close. He’s also trying not to notice how the bodies keep piling up, unsolved. Neither effort is going particularly well.
And if one more person tells him it was a bear, he’s going to shoot something. Probably not a bear.

He wavers for a moment, hesitating only a second- what if Jayce pulls away? What if he is misreading this whole scenario? What if he crosses a line that cannot be uncrossed-
He is laying with his head in your lap, Viktor chides himself. If anyone crossed a line, it was him. This is merely retaliation- the consequences of his actions. Something Jayce needs exposure to anyway.

Genya puts all her focus on controlling the emotions on her face. She goes for complete and utter apathy while lifting the bottle in her left hand and raises her eyebrows in question. She notices Zoya staring at her face, narrowing her eyes, searching. Genya knows that if her friend catches even a glimpse of sympathy in her eyes, she’d give a sharp shake of her head and send her on her way with a curt “Goodnight” before shutting the door in her face.
Genya pays Zoya a visit the night before Nikolai's wedding.
