Summary
It starts with his spinnerets acting up. Then, no more than a week later, Peter starts getting fevers. They start out so mild that he doesn't even notice at first, until he thinks he's just coming down with something. Then, they get worse and worse, and Peter definitely feels sick, but not like he has a cold. It's sick like he needs something, like something is wrong or missing and he can't figure out what it is. There's something that will fix him, and he needs to get it, and the need is desperate and aching in his chest, but he can't identify what it could possibly be. He's already tried NyQuil.
Eventually, he gets so sick that he has to call someone, as much as he doesn't want to.

"No, no, no, no" Eddie kept muttering, "hey Ed-" Buck was shocked. The man before him, was laying in a pool of blood, like he was swimming in it. His neck kept releasing blood, drowning that person staining the white tiles, but it isn't just any person, when he looked at the man laying.
It was him. Sprawled in his own blood, eyes half open.

Summary
“Pretty sure you’ve got it backwards, though,” Frank says, accompanied by more creaking. And then he… starts towards Peter.
It’s not a very far distance to travel. He walks over in silence, steps slow and purposeful, and stops in front of where Peter sits, legs dangling off the edge of the counter. He braces his hands on either side of Peter’s thighs. Then he leans in. Close.
A distant alarm starts blaring in the back of Peter’s head. Not his Spidey-sense, he isn’t in danger, but something… something else. Almost like a proximity alert. His heart skips along its quickened beat in his chest.
“H…” Peter croaks weakly, clears his throat. There’s a weird, tingly sort of feeling building beneath his sternum, heat threatening his cheeks. “How do I have it backwards?”
Frank holds his unsteady gaze, dark eyes flicking back and forth beneath his low brows.
“You’re the cute one,” he rumbles, tilts his head just slightly. Peter’s heart jumps right into his throat. “Daffodil.”

Sometimes, Peter just has to speak his mind, damn the consequences. Although… he doesn’t think he minds these “consequences” all that much.
