Alhaitham discovers a new power of Kaveh's and begs him to use it on him.

Kaveh's jaw meets the floor. “WHAT?! No! Alhaitham! It takes away your autonomy. I can't do that to you.”
The look on Alhaitham's face is as if he is a kicked puppy with the saddest of eyes. “If you're worried about consent, we can work something out, certainly. I know what I'm in for, and I trust you. With one eyebrow raised, Kaveh just stares back in confusion.

A Fontainian prophecy comes to pass resulting in a historic flood in Sumeru—all that drown in the waters awaken born anew as a Mer. With his life turned on its head and home destroyed, Kaveh struggles with salvaging his future from the rubble when everything he knows is gone.
“Hi, Kaveh. No, no you’re not in any trouble.” Her mouth curls into a pained smile before continuing, “There has been a terrible tragedy. A tsunami formed from a Fontainian prophecy has come to pass which flooded Sumeru. To mitigate the death toll, the Hydro Dragon blessed the waters with a wish to save the drowning. Your body has been affected by that wish.”
“Affected how?” The worry in his voice elicits a sympathetic look from the duo.
“Draconic power is often transformative in nature.” Neuvillette finally speaks up, withdrawing his touch and finally ceasing the cloud of blue Hydro hiding Kaveh’s lower body, “How do your injuries feel?”
Finally, he has enough strength to lift himself onto his elbows and… look… down. That is not his body. -
