Summary
The Lord of Shades can sense how many people Hornet failed to save and how much it weighs on her. They decide to give their sister a gift: a second chance.
After passing out while trying to bring Lace out of the void, Hornet wakes up by the broken cage in the Mosslands. Time has reset to the beginning of her adventure. Hornet remembers the previous timeline, but it seems that nobody else does.
With the knowledge that she now holds, Hornet tries to do things differently and save more people, while wrestling with the fact that Ghost doesn't hate her after all.

Hornet awakens at the bottom of a mossy ravine, exhausted, head aching. Light from above glints on the bent and broken wires of her golden cage as mossmirs chirp away in the distance. What a peaceful, verdant paradise to wake in. But how did she end up here?
After all, she had been escaping the Void with Lace just moments ago.
Or,
Hornet wakes up in Moss Grotto for the first time already knowing Pharloom's fate and must find a way to overthrow the kingdom's corrupt rule before the Haunting can ever come to pass.

Summary
The apocalypse has come and gone, and against all odds, Pharloom remains standing. The time has come for Hornet to return to Hallownest, accompanied by friends and allies: Shakra hopes to explore the mythical land beyond the wastes, and properly lay to rest a member of her own tribe; Lace fears unraveling without the aid of a Weaver, while contending with the immensity of a future free of her mother’s threads; and the Green Prince lives on only to spite the Citadel, passively seeking a more honorable end than might be found in the rubble of his homeland.
Meanwhile, Hornet returns from Pharloom with magic and knowledge that might aid in the slow recovery of Hallownest and Deepnest–and perhaps offer the chance to call home the sibling she once thought lost to her forever.
