Cursed spirits are usually born knowing what they were supposed to do, apparently.
"Apparently" is pretty dubious because Obito was not exactly born but more like spat out of death's stomach with absolutely no idea of what to do next.

Tears filled her eyes as she watched Billy approach the side of the bed, arms placed behind his back hiding something. His eyes trailed the curves of her body noticing the many deep cuts the girl refused to get treated by them, his heart quickened as he felt not twist in his stomach.
“Well make you a deal precious,” Billy's voice was smooth as he watched his best friend go still, clearly listening, “If you allow us to treat your wounds, and let this fever settle, I'll consider letting you make the first move with seduction,”
