Summary
It started out as a joke over drinks, with Zhenya obnoxiously boasting about how easy it was to control Taekjoo.
Caesar and Ilay were skeptical.
To them, out of all of their partners, Taekjoo seemed like he took the most work to manage. He wasn’t as easily intimidated as Taeui, or to manhandle like Leewon. This made Taekjoo’s prickly and defiant nature seem particularly bothersome in a way that they just didn’t see applying to their own partners.
“You say that as though he’d happily sit like a dog if you told him to,” Caesar commented doubtfully, “Leewon, however,” he continued, “would admittedly take some encouragement, but he’d remain on the floor until I said otherwise.”
“I don’t think I’d even have to ask Taeui directly, just simply imply it,” Ilay chimed in, chuckling at the thought.
“Uh-huh,” said Zhenya flatly, eyeing them both.
And that’s how they ended up taking Taekjoo, Leewon and Taeui to ‘puppy training class’, each convinced of their level of control and influence that they’d graduate with the highest score.
But it wouldn’t be an interesting bet without high stakes. So, the one who scored lowest would pay in karma, spending an hour of their life as a good boy.
