Summary
Minthara is defeated by these strange true souls at the goblin temple; but not killed. Exposure to the artifact they carried has loosened the Absolute’s hold on her, but not completely freed her. She is transported back to Moonrise towers, head throbbing, mind a muddled mess. Then a panicked young woman crashes into her, a woman perhaps even more confused than Minthara, the resurrected Isobel Thorm, daughter of Ketheric. Together they fight their way free of Moonrise Towers, fleeing with a moon lantern into the shadow-cursed lands.
They have both lost everything, the only comfort for either is the arms of the other. Maybe that will be enough. Perhaps they can now fight back, defeat the absolute, and build new lives, together.
After all, Isobel’s love, Aylin, is dead and gone, despite her immortality.
Isn’t she?

Summary
Ever since Wyll was little, he wanted to make movies. Well, he wanted to make one movie. Wyll, along with his childhood friends, has long been fascinated with the legends surrounding Baldur’s Gate. Especially the one about a handful of heroes that saved the city from a super powered dead three plot that culminated in giant brain attacking the city! Those events happened generations ago, even for elves, and so much has slipped from memory, including the names of those legendary heroes.
Wyll’s dream finally came true, and the production was documented in a behind the scenes ‘Making of’ documentary! As was all the rage in the late 1990s.
It is now decades later and two cast members are revisiting that very documentary…

Summary
Astarion should have died that night. In the story we know he did exactly that. Here, things went a little differently and he is very much alive.
However, healing magic has its limitations, and the Astarion who survived is markedly different from the one that fell to the Gur's clubs.
A month into recovery, he's still coming to terms with his loss of independence. Bedbound, partially mute, and being cared for by the same person who saved him in the first place: his mother. Apparently her adventuring days didn't fully end, even after decades of playing at being a proper Upper City wife.
Even worse, soon his beloved father decides caring for Astarion is a waste of time and resources, and tries to convince his mother to send him to... somewhere, anywhere, else.
It's amazing, what you start to notice when you're forced to stop and pay attention to people not named Astarion. So many aspects of his world and family, he now sees all too clearly. Out of the one eye that still works, anyway.

Summary
TL;DR - hey lets look at the BG3 story and expand out how Karlach and Astarion mighta become a couple.
Astarion and Karlach, at first glance these two companions couldn't be more different.
She's so open and loud and friendly and eager to do good. He's nothing like any of that.
But turns out, they have way more in common than either would have suspected.
Maybe a slight, sullen, suspicious vampire could use somebody who understands, but is nothing like him.
Even better if it turns out maybe she is a little bit like him.

Summary
What if the person who helped make Astarion into an at least semi-functional person was just suddenly... gone? What would he do then?
A post-canon exploration of just that!
Astarion and Karlach were the hot camp couple, complete with so much public displays of affection people were like here we have pooled our money to get you your own room.
Then she decided to burn up on the end of the pier instead of going to Avernus!Shit.
What will Astarion (and I guess the other less important people) left behind do now?
previously called: Whoops, she burnt up! Sad Vampire is Sad (But not alone! and getting better!)

Summary
Karlach's first journal entry from my origin run! Contents will reflect events that happened during my playthrough, though future entries may include more than one long rest per entry, given that journaling between EVERY long rest makes for little actual gameplay. With that said, this first entry is shorter, future ones will be longer and feature companions :)

Summary
The woman tilted her head. "Do you know what we just did to you?"
Astarion's eyes darted between them, perplexed by the question. What they did to him…?
That's when he noticed the Selûnite pendant around her neck. She was a cleric… had she healed him? He tried to piece together a scenario that made any sort of sense, but the details barely added up. Had these people found him? If so, why did they drag him across the city? How did they do such a thing? Why wasn't he in Harborside getting treatment? He wasn't sure exactly how severe his injuries had been, but he knew for a fact that a simple healing potion would not have done a thing to mend him back together.
"Are you… healers?" he asked.
The bearded man's mouth dropped open. "Healers—? What? No," he began to reach for him, but thought better of it and awkwardly closed his fist instead. "Astarion, it's me. Gale."
Astarion didn't recognize his name or his face in the slightest, but the way he was looking at him gave him pause.
"I… I don't…" Astarion shook his head slightly, racking his brain. "I'm sorry… Have we met before?"
