Summary
Wylan should have known it was too good to be true.
Good things never happened to him, much less stayed good for long.
He should have known that this, too, shall pass, leaving him bruised and aching from the impact of the soft comfort of it all being stripped away from him at once, like a bandage being ripped off raw skin.
Or; my attempt at a showverse van eck reveal "one shot" that somehow turned into a full-length kidnapping fic... enjoy! :)

Summary
For his whole life, Wylan has been told he is not enough. At the beginning of their adventure, Wylan has seen himself as less than his friends. Less cut throat, less talented, less competent. But his perspective is clouded and the Crows are able to see what he cannot.
Or: Five times his friends recognized the traits Wylan admired in them most and one time he finally recognized those traits in himself.
