Summary
"You were thinking about it, right?" Neil asks. When Andrew doesn't seem inclined to help with the conversation, he elaborates, "Tying my wrists."
Andrew tilts his head. A small indicator of admission.
"I'd like that, tonight," Neil says. The buzzing under his skin hasn't gone away. He needs... something.
Neil wants Andrew. Wants this; hands tied, immobile. He’s sure of it. But wires get crossed, and suddenly Neil isn’t quite as alright with it as he thought he’d be.

Summary
“Are you high right now?!” Andrew hissed angrily, leaning in to get a closer look at Neil’s now clearly dilated pupils.
A wry grin tugged on Neil’s mouth, meeting Andrew’s gaze without flinching. He finally raised his glass in salute, “As a fucking kite.”
-
It has been years since Neil disappeared in the night, only to reappear the following semester on the starting line-up for the Ravens, the name Wesninski painted across his back.A chance encounter at a Gala leads Andrew to believe there might be more to the story of Neil's defection than what they'd been led to believe.

Summary
"Someone needs to go with him." Diana said. "She's a goddess of family. Her blessing will come from the strength of his familial ties."
All the more reason I should go. Damian thought.
Bruce and Dick shared a long look. Perhaps to the others in the room, it was a fast, indecipherable look, but Damian caught the pull of Dick's mouth and the tightness to his father's jaw. However, it was Bruce that said "Red Hood and Red Robin."
Damian's eyes widened.
Grayson was as good as dead.
Or the one where Dick's brothers manage to royally piss off an ancient deity that sends them careening through memories he'd rather they didn't see.

Summary
Peter… wasn’t exactly sure how he’d gotten here.
The room was dark, and silent, except for the repetitive thump-thump of a heartbeat from somewhere beside him. It sounded like the low beat of Mr. Stark’s heart, with a moment too long passing every second beat since the arc reactor had been removed. That, and the smell of motor oil and fancy cologne.
His head throbs, and his muscles ache. He feels like he’s just lost a fight with a brick wall, or several. There’s crusted blood on his upper lip as well as his temple. He can feel it matted in his hair, and he wants nothing more than to take a shower right now.
Looking around a little more, Peter realises that he doesn’t even know where they are. The room is nearly pitch black which makes it impossible to make anything out. He thinks he’s tied to some sort of cheap plastic chair; his hands are bound behind his back with a mess of rope and some thin metal handcuffs - so he assumes his identity is safe. No way whoever this was would leave him in just metal handcuffs if they knew he had his powers.
Then, a huff of noise off to his side.
“Mr Stark,” he blurts, panicked. “I think we might’ve been kidnapped.”

Summary
It didn’t quite click into him, not until he registered the pain in Tubbo’s eyes, the way Ranboo set one foot in front of the other and hunched over his friend protectively. Then he saw the blood, matting a head of golden hair, clumping the strands together, and he knew, he knew, he knew and he hurt and he-
Wilbur broke, he sobbed, he screamed, “Tommy,” and there was blood on his hands, “wake up, wake up-!“
Tubbo hugged the body ever tighter.
-
Or: Tommy was dead, but Wilbur was alive, and living didn’t seem to be all that worth it at all when his little brother was gone.
Loss brings people together, however — Tubbo and Ranboo were adamant that they needed to keep him alive, if only for a chance at healing and redemption. So Wilbur tried his best; he learnt to live, for Tommy, and one day maybe he’d even learn to live for himself.
Meanwhile, he might or might not be haunted by Tommy’s ghost.

Tommy had always bled gold. All the blessed did, all powerful enough to be revered as the very Gods they were blessed by. Those that fell out of favor, lost their ichor, and those that bled tar were scorned as unforgivable monsters.

"Techno?"
"Yeah Tommy?"
"What does the sky look like?"
Techno paused, the question, like most of Tommy's questions made his heart ache for reasons he didn't understand.
"I'll show it to you one day" he doesn't know why he says that, he knows by now not to make promises he doesn't know he can keep.
"Really?"
"I promise" and he swears to himself he'll find a way to keep it.
***
Or Techno is a hero on a mission that quickly gets derailed when he meets Tommy, a boy who's spent his whole life locked in one room with only Dream, the biggest villain of the century, for company.

Summary
His eyes found the crowd, searching the stands and where some of them had filed down the stairs on to the field to celebrate. His spirit dulled, the corners of his lips falling, as he failed to spot a pink head of hair, or a green hat, or a specific set of brown curls.
So, they hadn’t made it.
It didn’t bother him. Really, it didn’t.
Or,
Tommy has it all—good friends, good grades, an amazing team, and a chance at being state champions. He doesn't need his family.
At least, it seems like they don't need him.

Tommy is not sixteen. He has faced too many open wounds, dripping ichor onto blood-stained warzones, to be just a child. He is Blood and War and needless death, an all-in-one special of everything that can ruin reality.
