Summary
Ash is the leader of one of the most powerful covens in the world, which has a monopoly on enchanted weaponry and components for practicing magic. He is a master of Alteration, rumoured to dabble in the forbidden arts, and Parrot’s sworn enemy as of their last encounter.
The man is also an absolutely infuriating hostage.
“What about him?” The Lawman asked, pointing behind them.
Parrot glanced over his shoulder, where Ash stood, hands still bound, and smiling innocently as could be.
“He’s uh…”
“Our friend,” Wifies lied.
“A kleptomaniac,” Parrot said at the same time.
They looked at each other.
“...Yes.” Parrot nodded. “Our friend. Who is also a kleptomaniac. And tied up for his own safety.”
The Lawman stared at them. They stared back. For a brief moment, Parrot contemplated erasing the Lawman’s memory of this entire interaction. Ash just kept smiling.
Or: Parrot is a rogue witch. Wifies is his familiar. Ash will not go away.

Summary
Cellbit killed ElQuackity two weeks ago. From across the banquet hall, those dead eyes catch his, and his thin lips tip up in a smile, crooked and smug.
ElQuackity holds his gaze from across the room, running a finger around the rim of his champagne flute. His eyes don’t catch the light and he hardly blinks, like his eyes are not eyes at all but a pair of pinhole cameras through which the Federation intently watches Cellbit’s every move. He wears his suit jacket open, dark blue dress shirt popped at the collar, a gold chain glimmering in his clavicle. When Cellbit next inhales, the air is hot and suffocating.
It’s not real. Cellbit tries to convince himself. It’s not real.
ElQuackity will not stay dead. Cellbit spirals.

Summary
You're not stupid. You can see the way stardust has been acting lately. How he lights up just a little more when he sees you under the tree, starts walking just a little faster, how their smile gets just a little more real. The way he ducks his head to hide in the collar of their cloak when you call them stardust, as if it’s a sweet pet name and not an inside joke for an audience of one. The light dusting of blush that rises to his face when you say something that implies you might care about him, even just a tiny bit.
You really should try and discourage their feelings. They'll fade eventually anyway, and it'll be easier for both of you if you just. Make him stop liking you, rather than waiting for it to happen on its own.
You can manage that, right? How hard could it be?

“Takumi-kun,” he greets, pleased for an inexplicable reason that Takumi doesn’t want to know.
“Don’t you have other places to be?” Takumi complains, pulling a chair to sit across from Aotsuki.
“This is my usual spot,” Aotsuki says, “If anything, you’re the one in my space.”
Takumi bristles. “Well… Well, I barely study so the one time I try to, I deserve to have the space.”
Aotsuki laughs, undoubtedly at him, and it makes Takumi bristle even more.
