Besides, with Sammy off at Stanford and John barking orders at him from three states away, Dean is pretty fucking lonely. And Castiel, with his kind eyes and his uncanny ability to get under Dean's skin in all the best ways, fits into the Impala's passenger seat just right.
Until, of course, it all comes crashing down around them.
Now: It's been five years since Castiel last saw Dean, but when he gets a call in the middle of the night, he recognizes the voice on the other end of the line immediately. Dean is in trouble and he needs Castiel's help. And, well.
