Now it had been five years and he was finally being married off in exchange for an ally ship and as part of the peace treaty with the Southern Kingdom. “Out, get the fuck out,” he snapped again, jabbing a finger in the direction of the door for emphasis.
John only hesitated for another second, his face turning red and obviously mortified, before he seemed to hunch in on himself and scurry towards the door.
He let himself out without another word, leaving Ghost in blissful silence again – finally.

Summary
Everyone and their mother knows that suppressants aren’t foolproof. They’re not a one size fits all like the pharmaceutical companies tout them to be. Some meds are better for omegas than others, but price and availability limits their usage. It’s a whole thing that Robert has learned to live with.
So, when one of the members of Z-Team is going into a rut because of a mysterious drug, the suppressants aren't as effective as they should be. Robert decides to hole up for a day in hopes he’s only going into pre-heat and not a full blown heat.
What he gets is help from an alpha that he never expected.
