Sokka’s head snapped over to Zuko, who looked just as shocked as Sokka felt. His cheeks were cherry-red and he had a hand clapped over his mouth. “Did you just laugh?” Sokka asked. Just to make sure his ears still worked.
Zuko spluttered, his cheeks darkening. “What—no! Why would I ever—I mean, what is laughing?” And then, “Your jokes suck anyway!”
OR
Sokka accidentally makes Zuko laugh during one of their fights. He takes it upon himself to continue making Zuko laugh in their future encounters, just as a "distraction tactic."

After defending himself from Fire Nation soldiers using his bending, Zuko is captured by Jet, who is delighted to have an ashmaker for a prisoner.
When Aang, Katara, and Sokka arrive, it's too late; Zuko is left with no name, no humanity, and no sanity.

Timidly, he rested his chin on Lance's leg and dropped his collar there, looking up at Lance expectantly. Lance smiled and picked it up.
"Want me to put your collar on, puppy?" He swung the object around his finger. Keith whined while giving pleading eyes, making Lance's heart clench. "Come here then, baby. Hold still…" Carefully, he undid the collar before carefully fastening it around Keith's neck. Not too loose, not too tight.
Keith tilted his head to adjust to the feeling, the leather cool against his skin. The feeling made his mind all simple which only served to relax him further. Eventually, he was just making a sweet little empty headed face that practically made Lance melt.

Keith uses puppy play to cope with trauma and to relax. Lance is his owner and they have some sweet puppy time together.
