When Claude spots Sylvain hiding in a secretive spot in the library with 'The History of Sreng' he approaches him to ask about his thoughts on them. Interesting Sylvain is open-minded to other cultures. Could it be that his goal is to create diplomacy between Faerghus and Sreng? If so it is similar to Claude's own dream: opening up Almyra & Fódlan to one another. Perhaps they stand to benefit from each other.
