Eddie Diaz only has one main goal in life and that's making sure that his son, Christopher, is happy and healthy. If that means relocating to LA and taking a new position at a new firehouse, then so be it. After the move, Christopher really seems to be enjoying LA- going to the Santa Monica Pier, visiting the firehouse with Carla, his school, Eddie finally relaxes and accepts that he made a good decision for both of them. That is, until a very familiar face shows up at the firehouse one day.
Evan "Buck" Buckley's one passion in life is being a firefighter- so when his current captain offers him a transfer to one of the biggest firehouses in Los Angeles, he takes it without question. He feels like he's on cloud nine when he arrives, but when he runs into Eddie Diaz, the boy he fell in love with all those years ago, he deflates like a balloon.
