"Things are really great the way they are at the moment, and I don't want to do anything to mess it up," Severus said slowly. He kept his head steady, eyes fixed out at a star low on the horizon.
Severus refused to look at James. He needed to get this off his chest and it would be impossible to do so if that penetrating gaze was fixated on him. He'd only recognised his new feelings for what they were about a week ago; an infatuation. He never considered the possibility that he could be attracted to men, but it seems like James might be the exception.
Or maybe, he was the rule.
It was still too soon for Severus to tell.
"But sometimes, a thing just feels so right, you know?" Severus finished. James didn't say anything. They both just kept looking straight out across the Great Lake.

After Severus Snape and James Potter find themselves stuck in an awkward detention together, an unlikely friendship forms. As their newfound friendship develops, James discovers something new about himself while Severus tries to fight his growing attraction to the Gryffindor boy.

Lo volvi a leer y me doy cuenta de que todo es complejo mary y snape al comienzo parecían realmente amistosos y luego la traición aunque mary ya tenia esos patrones... simplemente no puedo evitar pensar en lo complejo y humano que fue la breve amistad de mary y snape. También todo lo que sentian james lily y severus hace que sea una opinion muy imparcial por todos sus sentimientos, al final si son acciones lo que los diferencian pero tampoco era mejor lo demas

James got carried away, Severus went limp like a deer in headlights and as much as Lily revelled in the hot, heavy haze that was the three of them touching, feeling, pleasing and being pleased, she had her nights where there was nothing more attractive than watching. Commanding her boys as if they were little dolls. Making them play out all her hormone-filled daydreams. But tonight was something else entirely. James and Sev were still shy around each other, something that alternated between cute and something that Lily knew she had to monitor. Sev still tensed up when James called out through the corridors. Old habits die hard.

Para Lily, aquello no era más que una avalancha de maullidos, ronroneos y pequeños chillidos emocionados.
Para ellos, en cambio, los tres cachorros intentaban contarle toda la aventura al mismo tiempo.
— ¡Y conocimos a unos gatos que tocaban jazz! —explicaba Neville con entusiasmo.
— ¡Y Mione fue la que peor la pasó! —añadió Ron—. ¡Se la pasó cayéndose de todas partes!
Hermione lo fulminó con la mirada.
— ¡No le crea, Madame! ¡Fueron accidentes!
Lily frunció ligeramente los labios.
— Aunque usted, caballero...
James levantó las orejas.
— ...necesita urgentemente descubrir la existencia del agua enjabonada y de un buen cepillo.
James enarcó una ceja.
Giró inmediatamente hacia Severus.
— ¿Qué acaba de decir?
No tuvo tiempo de recibir respuesta.
Lily se inclinó y, con bastante esfuerzo, levantó al enorme felino entre sus brazos.
James abrió los ojos de golpe.
Sus cuatro patas quedaron colgando.
— ¿Qué está haciendo?
Severus tuvo que contener una risa.
— Para estar con mi Severus —continuó Lily mientras comenzaba a caminar hacia la mansión— primero tendrá que verse un poco más decente.
James giró la cabeza hacia atrás con auténtico pánico.
Sirius ya estaba riéndose.
