That was what everyone called her growing up. No matter that she was better at knots than CJ. Or that she learned sword fighting at a younger age than Harriet. Or that she was a captain, not a first mate like Harry. She was always “Little Hazel Hook.”
For a VK, she should have known better than to hope that someday her family would see her as one of them, instead of the odd one out.

Max was not as sneaky as he thought he was.
Whilst powering up the Oraculum, he was interrupted by the rest of the gang, causing an accident thats transported them all, along with a few others to the realms of Time
And Time was not happy. Messing with him was never a good idea, but instead of cursing them as he was often known to do, he wanted them to see the consequences and changes.
He wanted them to see what-once-was. And What-is-now-is
(This is technically a reaction fic but not a full one. They will be my version of some scenes from both Rise of Red and Wicked Wonderland, but it is more a way for me to write down my ideas in a semi coherent interlocking way and show these characters what I think the differences in the timelines could be)

Summary
Luis' arm is bleeding while Chloe is smirking, holding her bloody dagger.
Her jaw is red, probably from Luis. Red is curious on what happened but she can find out later, the first priority is to get Chloe detained. She's too violent and Red really doesn't want to fight her best friend.
Red uses the card, sending it flying toward Luis. He catches it and gives her a cheesy smile before turning back to Chloe. In his hand is not the dagger she imagined, but a sword.
She just hopes Luis knows how to use a sword well so he doesn't accidentally hurt Chloe or get hurt himself. Not that she didn't trust in Chloe's abilities, but a dagger versus a sword wasn't a very unfair fight.
Or
Evil Chloe attacks Luis and Red gives him a sword. Things go wrong and Chloe gets a fatal wound

“Bluey?” Red’s tough exterior melted instantly. She dropped to her knees, stepping straight into Chloe’s space. Her warm, leather-scented hands reached out, gently cupping Charming’s pale face, her thumbs brushing away the hot tears. “Hey... what’s wrong, sweetheart? What happened?”
The unexpected, sweet endearment sent a rush of heat through Chloe's chest. She leaned desperately into Red's hands, her whole body trembling.
"I... I can't find him, Red," Chloe whispered, her voice cracking into something completely broken. "He's not at the castle. He's not in the pictures. The guys on the Tourney squad said he's not even on the team."
Hearts froze, her brow furrowing in deep confusion. "Who? Bluey, slow down, you're shaking."

Yelena is breathing heavier than she was when she was shot because she wasn’t useful. The mission is over and she’s in here and she made Bucky have to be in here and everyone else had to pick up her slack, she can’t afford to have any slack to pick up, she has to be useful and instead they had to take care of her like a liability. Liabilities do not get to survive.

In other words, Yelena learns young that your usefulness directly impacts how long you survive and how much you hurt along the way. So when she's thrown into the Thunderbolts, well... let's just say old habits die hard, and Yelena doesn't quite understand this whole "unconditional safety" thing.Mind tags and notes. I own nothing.
