Finally he seen it a log close enough for him to grab and it had to be above water because it didn’t sink. He put all his energy into getting and grabbing onto the water. He didn’t stop even when everything burned from the strain.
Air had never felt so nice . He endlessly gasped as he tryed to catch his breath. And of course it was still raining . The droplets that exited him before just felt mocking. He didn’t know how far away from the watering hole ,all he knew was his family was nowhere in sight. A sound came out of him in the middle of his grieving that didn’t sound lion.
He didn’t know if it was days, hours or weeks but he just floated aimlessly down the river the shore to far for him the reach without risking falling in again. Then suddenly the river came to an end .

Then Bruce just huffs from his nose. “We don’t belong here, do we?” he says, his voice not even holding some doubt. “We’re fictional.”
Her head snapped toward him so quickly it bordered on violent.
“How the—WHAT?!” she stared at him, words catching over themselves. “How the fuck did you—?!”
She watches as Bruce suddenly pulls, from fuck-ass nowhere, her phone. Like, that’s her phone. That’s her phone, alright.
“What did you find?!” she demanded, spiraling quickly, the words speeding up again. “Did you go into Instagram- no, no- worse- did you go into my Twitter? My pictures?!”
Bruce didn’t answer
Francesca was just a girl. Definitely a little too online. More enamored with a world filled with superheroes.
