    Courtland knew that if he wanted to, the Driver could easily pick the hammer back up and smash it against his hand right now, breaking it irreparably while he had his guard down.
    He knew that if he ever felt the need to, the kid could slip back into that feral, untamed state of mind, beat his head into a pulp and cave his skull in just to get the uncomfortable feeling to stop.
    And Courtland wouldn't have blamed him if he did.

    The point is that the Driver did none of those things.

    He just stopped, and allowed him to do as he pleased.
    He wanted him to do it.
    Maybe even needed to.
    That, to him, was the most terrifying part.

    Or...

    After the last job didn't end well, Court finds himself temporarily on pause between missions, with his mind conflicted between a newfound desire for normalcy and the need to feel the familiar rush of adrenaline running through his veins. He seemed to had everything under control, until one evening he comes back to find the door of his latest safe house busted through and a trail of fresh blood leading inside.
    An old acquaintance makes a new appearance, old habits meet new necessities, and a past issue left unresolved is given a new opportunity...
