Summary
After inheriting your parents’ home in the dying town of Old Abalonia, you’d gotten yourself swamped in loans to debatably unethical organizations. With no real way to pay off your debt other than scavenging old metal left behind in the Splatlands, you tried your best to make living in Old Abalonia work, no matter how hard the town treated you.
Then, of course, Shiver Hohojiro, some Octoling you’ve never heard of, busted her way into your life, and things were never the same.

Summary
He doesn't startle when the voices reach him — it's not like he'd been living as an unseen ghost, powerless and unable to interact with the world ever since sort-of-escaping the maddening silence of the silver tree, only recently having managed to acquire — hijack a cult and trick them into building — a body for himself.
He doesn't startle, because he is the great, even if currently not all powerful, Shadow Milk Cookie, feared Beast and master of deceit!
He would like to know why there are a bunch of kids traipsing through the woods with no adult supervision though — drawbacks of no longer being all knowing and all.
—
Or, Shadow Milk Cookie escapes early, even if with only a fraction of his power, managing to slip out of the tree before White Lily seals it back up — this changes him just as much as it changes the future.
—
This story's premise is inspired by @cherry-blossom-qf's "Escaped too Early AU"! Go check them out on tumblr! The storytelling in the art is just jshshdhj loved it! Loved it so much!

At first, it was just sparring.
Quick matches that still made his jam boil.
Then it was admiration.
Dark Cacao put up quite the fight, and he was too stubborn to be beat.
Now, it was attraction between both of them.

Summary
Shadow Milk Cookie has gained much since he'd started dreaming with Pure Vanilla Cookie, and lost more than he'd have ever imagined. Even powerless, he's not one to roll over and accept his defeat so easily. If there are means to make steps towards his goals, he will take them. Even if he's quite possibly signed himself up for failure, given he's promised to ensure the other Beasts will also stay their hands when the war with Dark Enchantress comes to a head. Inasmuch as it's likely an impossible task to undertake, there are worse things he could be attempting in order to assure his continued freedom.
Sequel to Community Gardens (But I'll make my best effort to ensure this can be read as a standalone!)
