The coat remains across the room. Entirely ordinary.
And yet his attention keeps returning to it. To Wriothesley removing it without hesitation. To the brief brush of his hands near Neuvillette’s shoulders. To the warmth trapped inside the lining. To goodnight, Neuvillette, spoken with that impossible softness Wriothesley sometimes allows into his voice when no one else is near enough to hear it.
Neuvillette turns onto his side. He should return the coat tomorrow.
Of course he should. That is the sensible thing. The courteous thing.
His eyes drift once more toward the armchair. Tomorrow, he decides. And because Neuvillette has spent centuries believing himself to be a creature of remarkable self-discipline, he does not yet recognize this for what it is.
Or, Wriothesley offers warmth without asking for anything back, and Neuvillette does not know what to do with that.

Illuga overhears a major truth about Flins which had been neatly hidden away from him out of care but rather than confronting Flins about it? Illuga keeps that truth to himself and misinterprets it very wrongly to the point of making a rather hurtful decision that he thinks would be of benefit to both him and Flins.
Meanwhile Flins does not understand the reason why Illuga is avoiding him like the plague, causing him to somewhat spiral in a way and attempt to make things better with Illuga in order to learn why he's truly avoiding him, is it because he is a fae or is there something more to it all?
(Basically: Illuga overhears the fact that Flins is a fae, falsely interprets the reason why that truth has been concealed from him and makes the decision to ignore Flins because he thinks it'll be good for both sides. Flins is hurt by that but still attempts to understand by trying to learn the reason behind Illuga's actions.)

Summary
Demons typically provide balance.
They bring karma to those who do wrong and remind those with good fortune to be grateful for what they have.
However, some demons, like Illuga, prefer to do an angels job of protecting humans from the misfortunes that may befall them.
He is rather good at it, and everything is going smoothly until an angel starts showing up at his rescues for seemingly no reason...
They get along well and the angel is kind to him but something about him makes Illuga feel odd.
It's probably not important... right?

The cover features an adorable cartoon dragon with round glasses, sipping tea and looking vaguely judgmental.
Childe stares at it and buys it without hesitation. He also buys a second copy, just in case the first one bursts into flames when Zhongli inevitably finds it and gets offended by page five’s subtitle: “When Your Spouse Eats Rocks.”
In which Childe discovers a highly questionable dragon-spouse manual and immediately decides Zhongli is a husband-shaped research project.
