Summary
Aboard the elusive Babylon-Class Star Federation Exploration Vessel "Red Dwarf", a diverse and equally bizarre crew goes about their daily routines, all in the name of discovering strange new worlds, meet new civilizations and boldly go where no living organism has gone before.
However, after being given orders to return home for a mandated overhaul of their precious ship, said crew finds itself with something they did not expect to get in their field of operation: A buttload of free time! While some take this as a form of vacation, others see it as an opportunity to finish certain duties that they consider highly important. Including the preparation of new recruits into what they can expect from working on the ship shortly after its completion, for example!
Among the newcomers stands Mielle, a Cirquonian from the M-Class planet Soleil-9 in the Ridiculum System. Out of her depth and desperate to latch onto someone for much-sought company, she begins a heavy gamble by trying to befriend a senior crewmember. Said crewmember turns out to be the friendly, but silent Mimi, a Mimean from the M-Class planet Mimea in the Presentus System!
