Vanessa was on the sofa, Wade on his side beside her so his head rested in her lap as she ran her hand across his scalp. The sight was so intimate that it made Logan clench his jaw, but a small part of him couldn't help but be drawn to Wade. He seemed so open and relaxed, in a way Logan's never seen before. Cautiously, he placed the bags on the counter, backing out the room, but before he could get far, a voice spoke.
Or; Wade goes to Vanessa whenever he's upset and Logan realises he wants to be someone Wade can turn to too.

Morph wanted to cry. They nearly did. Their eyes filling with tears of frustration.
“Fucking hell, Logan!” Morph cried, spinning back around to finally meet his gaze. “I’m jealous that his Logan actually loves him back!”
Morph watched Logan freeze, the admission clearly catching him off guard. And his silence only made the frustration bubbling inside Morph worse.
Or; Morph gets kidnapped by a time portal, ending up in a universe where Deadpool and Wolverine are in love, sending Morph into a spiral as to why their Logan can't love them.

Tony watched as Peter continued moving forward, still swinging at thin air, backing further and further across the dirt until his feet stepped on the railway tracks and Tony didn’t think much of it. Until a train suddenly appeared on the feed.
Then Peter was gone.
Tony’s heart lurched, his finger jamming the replay video before his brain had even caught up, his eyes glued to the screen. But all the feed showed was the train once again speeding down the track. Straight into Peter.
Or; Tony thinks Peter is dead after seeing Peter get hit by a train when fighting Mysterio

“Wade…?” Logan asked quietly, trying to draw his attention.
But Wade didn’t even acknowledge him, mumbling under his breath so quietly that Logan needed to strain his ears to hear him. “Shut up,” Wade was whispering over and over again and Logan was pretty sure Wade wasn’t actually talking to him.

“You don’t actually hate it, do you? This is just our thing. I call you a cutesy nickname and you react like it’s the worst thing you’ve ever been called. You think about punching me. I think about that passionate kiss we shared, more often than I should or is healthy. Then we move on and do it all over again.”
Logan leaned back in his chair and sighed. He really, really, really, really wanted a fucking drink.

Logan's heart rate spiked as ice shot down his spine. No. No. How could this have happened, everything was going fine! And then they got separated and Wade was all the way across the room, far out of reach, and being shoved to the floor by at least eight people, and they were being shot at by special guns and then everything went dark.
He was going back. He was going to get him back now, and if they hurt Wade, he swore to any god willing to listen, all bets were off. How dare they.
or
Logan has never been good at emotions, or taking care of people. Especially not at putting his own bullshit aside and staying. But then Wade gets captured and hurt, and he needs Logan. And maybe, just this once, he can get his shit together enough to help Wade put his broken pieces back together.
