“Who the fuck are you?” Tommy blurted out, before he could think about what he was saying.
The man’s brown eyes went wide, before he burst out laughing. “Well, that’s not the greeting I expected but, uh, I’m Wilbur. Wilbur Soot.”
“You weren’t here yesterday.” He responded in an almost accusatory voice.
Wilbur chuckled, looking around nervously “I mean, that’s usually how people work? They’re not in the same place 24/7.”
Tommy suddenly realized how ridiculous his words were and backtracked. “No, I mean I’ve never seen you here before. This stand has always been empty.”
“Oh! Yeah that’s fair, I’m pretty new.” He laughed, “I bought this stand last week, but it took me forever to set it up.”
He nodded, still wondering about the keychain, the one with Wilbur’s picture in it he found the day before. “That makes sense. Welcome to the mall. Also, sorry about toppling your stand yesterday.”
Wilbur blinked “You did what?”

Tommy sat still. He reached into his jacket pocket, his hand finding only a plastic pen. Could he stab this man with a plastic pen?
Tommy pulled said piece of plastic out, visibly holding it up. “I have a pen.” Something about the bemused look on the man's face made Tommy click it, and again, repeatedly.

“I’ll get you your medicine,” Dream said, rubbing a soothing hand over his hair. “I think you’d better stay in bed for the next few days, huh?”
Tommy scrunched up his face, displeased, but he couldn’t deny how awful he felt. His bouts of illness always snuck up on him; one day, he’d be up and about, feeling on top of the world. The next, he’d be back in bed, a fever or some other malady keeping him down.
“Sorry,” he mumbled.
Dream let out a breath through his nose. “It’s not your fault,” he said, and Tommy’s heart clenched at Dream’s kindness. He was beyond patient, even with all of Tommy’s faults. “I’ll always take care of you.”
Or, Tommy's a sick kid. That's just the way it's always been. But an encounter with three witches leaves Tommy questioning his own illness, as well as the medicine Dream's been giving him for as long as he can remember.

Tommy had been a blood bag for vampires all his life. He was trained. An expert, one could say. He knew to only speak when spoken to, always to do as he was commanded, never to defend himself, never to run, never to show his pain.
He could be perfect. A perfect blood bag.
But when the Angel of Death showed interest in him, he faced challenges he'd never thought he'd encounter.Or: Phil would normally never buy a living blood bag but strange times asked for unusual solutions. And he did intent to set him free as soon as possible and offer him a good life in one of his citys in the Antarctic empire. Why he ended up choosing this scared looking teenager was another question. Maybe following his originally plan would prove to be harder than he thought. Maybe his kids would love to have another brother.
Or: Tommy is terrified, Phil gets attached - as he does. And things get better.
Dark SBI, especially in the beginning - but Phil is a softy for fatherless kids - even if they're TECHNICALLY just a means to survival.

Life has really interesting ways of biting you in the ass, and it just happened to be that it decided to mess with Techno by turning him into an oversized pink bunny.
Sounds like a joke?
Techno really wishes it was. Especially when he first realized that no, it isn't that this plant farm is giant, it's just him who is the size of three potatoes put on top of each other. Him who is the size of three potatoes and covered in soft pink fur, has a nose that never seems to twitch and a fluffy tail sticking out of his back.
Obviously, Techno had mornings far better than this one, when he didn't feel an overwhelming urge to dig into that carrot over there, but his day gets exponentially worse when a shadow falls over him, and a very familiar voice says, in a soft and high-pitched tone, "Hello there, little guy."

Techno helps Dream escape the prison. Three weeks later, he wakes up in Origins SMP in the body of a bunny and gets found by Tommy.

They both stare, twin masks that are just a bit too unsettling if you asked him, before Dream replies, “Hey Punz, you’re back early. This is Theo,” and Dream motions to the kid next to him, who only waves half-heartedly, “he’s… not exactly a replacement, more… insurance. I mean, I need to ensure the server has a capable admin once I’m gone.”
If Punz cared a little more, he might’ve noticed the way Theo tenses at the words, the nervous jitter of his knee near imperceptible to anyone who isn’t paying close attention, the hunched shoulders. But Punz doesn’t care and he doesn’t notice and only gives the kid a once-over before turning back to his employer with an unimpressed look and a snide remark of, “Didn’t know a kid was a more viable option than me.”
Theo looks like he wants to protest; he doesn’t, but he looks like he wants to.
or, Punz finds himself caring a bit too much a bit too often and has to reckon with this fact whilst trying to get them out of the hell they were both signed up for.
or, I thought a little too hard about how protege end gamers is cabinetduo for insane people.
