Summary
Merlin’s mother had made it very clear to him what he should do when she sent him off to Camelot. Merlin wasn’t to tell anyone he had magic, his mother was scared that he would be collared to keep him in line if someone found out. Yet, Camelot was, above all, one of the best places for an alpha warlock to be. In Essitir, the omega king would drag alphas off to his palace once they were old enough, claim them, and use them for their powers. It was a fate that Merlin’s mother had feared him facing since he presented at twelve summers old. It was why, on the eve of his eighteenth summer, she sent him away to the bordering kingdom before Cenred’s men could show up in Elador to take him away. In Camelot Merlin could have a future.
It was a more hopeful future than what he would have in any other kingdom.
Other than Essitir and Camelot, all other kingdoms executed alphas who had magic, mated or not, too afraid of what they could do. Camelot had done the same, once, but that had changed when the Queen had fallen for an alpha sorceress and had taken her as her mate, changing the law to allow mated magical alphas to live in peace.
All Merlin had to do was catch an omega....

Talia made a mistake when she gave Damian to an amnesiac Jason to protect. Jason imprinted on Damian, and that made a world of difference when Jason leaves the League with Damian, for the latter's safety.
Where Jason accidentally kidnaps Tim, Tim decides to do anything for Jason, and there's a lot of intense brother protective/possessiveness dynamics.

Summary
Tim Drake never actually wanted to become part of the Robin-Batman-vigilante outfit. No, really. But the last Robin up and died, and now Batman is going crazy, and no one else is doing anything about it, so...Tim decides to become Robin. He might as well, right? At the very least it'll give him something to do while his parents are gone.
Still, Tim's not taking up the mantle until he can put a couple of things in order. Step one? Making sure the Joker can't get it into his head to kill another Robin. Not ever again. (Good thing Tim's not the one with a 'no killing' rule.)
And then after that? Well, after that it's only just a matter of keeping Batman from learning Tim's identity and subsequently chasing him off. Not until Bruce can get back on his feet and pick a new Robin, a real one this time. Easy-peasy.
Sort of.

“Mommy?” a tiny little boy tugs at the corner of his mother's dress.
“Yes dear?”
“Can people die of a broken heart?”
She stopped at those words, ... Her eyes looking into big, wide blue orbs glittering with curiosity and innocence, her poor little boy, her poor little Tim, old and young beyond his body. What would she do without him. What would he do without her?
She spun the chair around, fully facing her son and snatched him up in her arms, nuzzling into his full head of raven silk, her beautiful little boy. How long before the world steals his precious innocence away. How much time did they have left before Gotham claimed her dues, taking from them not their wealth but their happiness?
“I don't think so, Tim, it's very hard for that to happen,” She can't tell him about Mother, “But maybe it could hurt so much it feels like dying.”
“Can doctors fix it?”
“The doctors don't understand.”
The tiny child snuggles his head against his mother's chest, breathing softly as he listened to her fragile heart beat, thumping away like the flutter of bird's wings against his ears. She curls over her son, arms circling around him like featherless wings. They said he is his father's son, he had his determination and anything that became the object of his interest became an obsession. But he is also his mother's child, her eyes and heart, the paleness of delicate hollowed ivory in their bodies and skin. Her child was a beautiful, fragile bird, trying to become a dragon and her saddened soul knew, he would try his whole life. It would become his obsession. And it would break him, just as it broke her mother.
“I hope I don't get a broken heart, it sounds painful.”
Oh my son, it is, and it isn't even my heart. Janet sniffed his little head once more and urged him to play in the garden, among the flowers, trees and birds. She watched as he ran and twirled, alone but happy among the foliage. And she hoped.
Hoped he wouldn't lose himself to the world because the world will break him when it can get the chance, hopes that whoever is out there for him, will protect his little glass soul. Because dying from a broken heart is the slowest and most terrible way to die.

Lance has a small bracelet around his right wrist. A small, messily beaded baby blue bracelet with a faded grey shark charm placed between an 'R' charm and an 'L' charm. A bracelet his twin sister had given him when they were ten, the first bracelet Rachel had made. Lance never took this bracelet off. He had a tan line where the bracelet sat on his wrist - one that was only seen the moment Lance realized his bracelet wasn't on his wrist. When he panics, the team takes his genuine distress as a dramatic overreaction.
OR
Lance loses his bracelet his sister made, and he loses his mind. No one takes him seriously. At first.

Why is Tim the only functioning adult in this situation?

“What the fuck, Replacement. A slingshot?” Jason huffed as he shot another bullet at an alien. “Really?”
Tim ignored him, pulling back the sling and aiming at a large alien flying by. He fired the slingshot and watched as it sailed through the air, hitting the alien neatly in the temple and sending it crashing to the ground.
Dick whistled. “Nice shot, Red!”
