The first thing Satoru notices when he wakes up is that his chest is heavier. Not heavier in the burdening, world-on-my-shoulders sense, not even in the anxious, lung-tight way, but in a solid, physical, gravity-pulling-him-down sense.
Heavy in the "I’ve suddenly developed boobs overnight" sort of way, and surely he must be dreaming, because when he looks down at his chest, he has.
