Summary
Years after the defeat of Vecna, the party has annual reunions every year. The only problem is that Will has missed every single one since 1990. Mike had finally been ready to confront his feelings when he had disappeared and cut contact with anyone related from Hawkins. With Will Byers drifting further away each year, missing reunions, unreturned calls, and the quiet understanding that some things are never said in time. When Will finally reappears, it feels like a second chance. Fragile, uncertain, and already slipping through Mike’s fingers.
Separated by years, distance, and the weight of unspoken truths, Mike is left with regret and a question he can’t escape, how many times can you lose the same person? And what if what is going on with Will isn't what Mike has interpreted at all?

John has been away for Sherlock's entire career and suddenly returns to London unexpectedly from Afghanistan. Injured and tired and in pain, all he wants is to surprise Sherlock and kiss his husband. His search to find and surprise his wayward partner takes him across London and meets him up with those in Sherlock's world he has only heard about until now.
A quickly written story that was meant to be my version of "Everyone Meet Sherlock's Secret Husband - Ha Ha In Your face" - but I got this instead.

Sherlock does his best to make John happy when John comes back to 221B with his new baby after the events of Season 3, but Sherlock has a track record of getting things wrong in this area. This story is an exploration of their gradual shift from friends to lovers, told from Sherlock's perspective, full of a lot of pining and lack of emotional awareness. (But don't worry; I love a happy ending.)

Written for this promt on the kinkmeme: "After Mary's death, John moves back into Baker Street, but is still upset at the loss of his wife and child. Eventually, he and Sherlock stumble into a sort of relationship, but it's more physical than anything and they don't talk about it.
They especially don't talk during sex.
If they are going to have sex, Sherlock notices the signs hours beforehand, and he prepares carefully. The lights are off, they're under the covers, he prepares himself using lots of lube so he can make it feel as much like a woman as he can, and he doesn't let himself make any noise so that, if John wishes, he can pretend that he's still with Mary."
