    Summary

Another scream rose in his throat. He wondered how much longer it would go on for, how much longer before what was left of his voice gave out, or whether he was just doomed to scream forever.

He wanted it to stop. He wanted this all to stop. Most of all, though, he wanted what he couldn’t have.

    Revenge.

    Or;
Grian never made it out of the dark and dingy basement, never made his escape from the town that haunted his teen years. Sam went too far, and now Grian is dead.
However, he's far from the only ghost to roam the halls of a cursed high school at night. Finding himself trapped within the halls he once walked when he was alive, Grian is determined to make something of this seemingly endless existence.
He just never quite expected that something to be a family.

    Summary

She showed up at Kris’s door with her hood up and her tail twitching, smelling like smoke that wasn’t hers. She had one of her mother’s old flannels tied around her waist, the sleeves long and dragging. Kris didn’t ask. Just stepped aside.

Toriel, from the kitchen, poked her head out and said only: “Shoes off, dear. I just mopped.”

    Like Susie belonged there.

Like she wasn’t a guest anymore.

Kris gave her the couch and curled up on Chariel. Susie protested, at first—“It’s your damn house, dude,” she said, “I can sleep on the floor, I’ve done it before”—but Kris was already half-buried in blankets and completely silent, which meant the conversation was over.

At some point, when the house had gone completely quiet and the shadows settled, Susie whispered:

    “Hey.”

Kris shifted their head to look at her.

The moonlight caught her hair, the jagged edge of her teeth. Her eyes were clearer than they ever were at school. No posturing. No sneer. Just Susie. Bare and real in a borrowed T-shirt, her knees pulled up, her voice a rasp.

    Summary

“Scar.” Grian’s got his legs spread comfortably wide in the passenger seat. The left one’s bouncing. Knee knocking against the car door like a drum beat, off-tempo with the thrum of the engine. Thump thump thump thump. “Let me take a turn driving.”

Gaze turned ahead, staring straight through the windscreen, Scar says nothing.

Scar,” says Grian, again, and this time he turns his head to look at Scar’s profile. Curve of the nose, slightly crooked from– and the cupid’s bow of his lips, incongruously feminine, the furrowed eyebrows, same shade of chestnut as his hair. Skin just a bit too pale. On the greyish side, even, maybe. It wasn’t like that half an hour ago. “Scar, let me drive.”

“It’s fine,” drawls Scar, sing-song insincere. There’s a specific tone of voice he only pulls out when he’s lying. It’s this one. “I’m fine! Perfectly good for another hour’s driving. We’re not even halfway there yet. And what sort of a friend would I be if I made you drive more than halfway, hmm?” He’s still looking straight ahead. Straight through the windscreen.

(In which Grian and Scar go on a road trip, have a fight, and work some stuff out. Kind of.)
