Stopped prematurely during his tantrum, Caine is locked away in a blank, cramped room and chained up while stuck in his broken avatar and suddenly shut off from the rest of the Circus. Starving for data and interaction, our beloved ringmaster is almost entirely isolated and abandoned, becoming nothing more than a painful memory for the cast.
Surely this won't have any consequences.

Summary
What defines “good” and “evil”? Was it how someone acted? Did actions determine someone’s very being for the rest of their life? Was it that, perhaps, someone’s entire story could be determined based on how they go about their day? Do they smile at odd jokes and dumb puns? Do they turn a blind eye to someone’s suffering?
There are so many questions that can’t be given a definitive answer. Odysseus tried not to think too hard about things out of his control, but then again, he hadn’t always been considered a patient mech.

Summary
Cas is sick and Dean finds a journal that Cas kept about his time alone as a human.
This fic is a retelling of first half of S9 from Cas's POV (via Cas's journal). Lots of Cas angst/loneliness and a correspondingly equal volume of Dean guilt. Sick fic, hurt/comfort, journal fic, and a Christmas fic too.
NO SLASH but the entire thing features a strong Cas/Dean friendship.
