Summary
Jabber coughs for a long, long time, and Zanka holds him throughout all of it, patting his back in a woeful attempt to make the petals come up quicker. He would wonder what it was that set Jabber off, but he was too busy trying to keep his own flowers from making an appearance, and that in itself was an entire ordeal.
Zanka knows that the flower has finally come up when Jabber makes a retching sound, and he readjusts them so that it will land on his floor instead of his bed. Then, he wouldn't have to explain why his sheets were bloody when he took them to be washed.
"Fuckin' hell," Jabber swears, panting as he recovers from the nearly minute-long coughing fit. He's practically limp in Zanka's hold, yet he manages to pull back just enough to wipe his mouth and the blood and spit lining his lips. His eyes are watery and red, tears slipping from the corners of them, and it has Zanka's stomach flipping horribly, his heart skipping at least two beats.
Even now, Zanka can't help but find Jabber beautiful.
Jabber Wonger is dying for a love that doesn't love him back, and Zanka can't help but be...affected...by this.

Summary
“Hey, you!” A voice yells at him, startling Zanka out of his inappropriately timed musings, given the situation. “You’re a Meister, right?” The voice was coming from the chaos, and the dust cleared just enough for Zanka to make out the form of the Kishin Egg, a Demon Weapon disfigured by their greed, and someone clinging to their back. The Kishin Egg thrashes and jerks, trying its hardest to dislodge the person, yet to no avail. The person’s arms were wrapped tight around the Kishin Egg’s neck, except they didn’t look much like arms at all…
“Yeah?” Zanka calls back, cursing himself for sounding unsure. He was still a Meister—he’d passed every single physical test for it with flying colors after his extensive training—but he hadn’t thought about wielding a Demon Weapon in years (that was a lie; he thought about it every day. He was constantly trying to convince himself that he was perfectly happy with his Lovely Assistaff).
“I need ya to use me!”
Zanka doesn't care that he was never able to form a bond with a Weapon back in the Hell Guard.
At least, until he meets a lone Weapon in pursuit of a Kishin Egg after one of his missions.

Summary
There it was—that weird twinge again, and this time, Jabber thinks he might know why it was happening.
Zanka is a nice person. Zanka is a good person, mostly, and good people don’t usually leave the injured there to die. Good people don’t join the Raiders and help them steal from others. Good people don’t strip their mother’s fresh corpse of her hair, hand, and arm jewelry to wear for themselves. Good people don’t get high for days at a time and kill things when they’re bored. Good people don’t like pain the way Jabber does.
Good people kill people like Jabber to rid the world of his kind of filth, and Zanka was going to be a very good person one day.
Jabber starts coughing up flower petals out of what seems like nowhere, but upon closer inspection, he realizes that it was a long time coming

Summary
Whoever this person was, they were obviously a pretty good fighter. Maybe they were sick, or someone managed to inject them with a lethal dose of venom that had them passing away so peacefully—
Jabber springs backward abruptly, and the ground where he had just been now sported a new crater embedded deep into the concrete. Absently, he wonders at the fact that the floor hadn’t fallen through just yet before he focuses on the decidedly not dead body before him.
Its eyes were open now, and wow, they might’ve been the bluest blue he’s ever seen, boundless and roiling as they glared hard at him.
“Another one?” The body—person—guy?—speaks, voice low and kind of raspy, almost like rocks grinding against each other. “How many times will I hafta keep sending y’all runnin’ back to yer boss like pathetic little bugs before he gets the message?”
Jabber encounters someone interesting during some freelance work.

Summary
Jabber’s fingers aren’t quite gentle as they thread themselves in Zanka’s hair, catching on little knots Zanka had been too tired to undo before getting into bed and using them to pull Zanka back, away from his neck and forcing his Cleaner to look him in the eyes.
Sticky, suffocating heat clings to the insides of his lungs at the sight of the haziness in Zanka’s eyes, eyebrows drawn together in an expression that Jabber couldn’t name even if he cared to.
Zanka watches him as if it hurt.
Zanka keeps watching him as if it hurt much worse to do anything else.
“Wanna do it again tonight?”
Jabber and Zanka have a somewhat odd ritual they perform now and then.

But that doesn't mean resolutions cannot be reached, as is the case with the insomniac werewolf Yoo Joonghyuk and the starving vampire Kim Dokja whose venom can put the former to sleep while the latter provides him blood.
But their deal is not known to the rest of Yoo Joonghyuk's pack, who only care about Kim Dokja because they don't know what he is. And they'll never find out because what he and Yoo Joonghyuk have really is just transactional.
It's all it can be, anyway.

He forgets how to breathe, and Hii shouting in his ear, telling him to press up against the wall and to let him take over, isn’t helping him relearn.
A head pops through his window. The individual has a hoodie slung over their head, but Fu can see long, heavy wicks hang out from underneath. They obscure the person's face, and Fu thinks that he’s surely going to die.
“Heyy, I had a feeling this was the right window!” An unexpectedly familiar voice exclaims. “What's up, Fu?”

Post Information-Broker Arc. Jabber breaks into Fu's room at night via Zodyl's imaginary request and tries to bring him back to the Raiders. Things don't go as planned, but he most definitely doesn't leave empty-handed.
