there are no manuals on breathing in the house of daena, weirdly enough. which means there probably aren’t any in all of tevyat, and logically, that makes sense; even a toddler can figure this stuff out without breaking a sweat. scara can feel the frustration building up, electricity buzzing in his cheeks until he is on the verge of overheating. so he takes a walk around the divine tree, and comes back with a new strategy in mind.
[...] awkwardly climbing down the levels of study, he eventually finds himself face-to-face with a high school level textbook on biology. flipping through the pages, there’s a childlike rush of excitement as he realizes that this is all starting to make a little more sense. he wonders if this is how his classmates feel in lectures, if this is the main draw of academia and research. it’s all starting to make more sense.

He bit his lip in anger, his once neat clothes were now torn, and his eyes looked at Teyvat’s world tree that is now covered in fire with disbelief.
All of this happened when the Tsaritsa finally declared war against the heavenly principles once she had collected all the gnosis… But to be honest, it’s not his problem. Why would it be?
He now had nothing to do with the Fatui, or their stupid plan that they had been preparing for hundreds of years. He is no longer the 6th Fatui Harbinger, the Balladeer, nor Scaramouche.

Scara's devoted his life towards superficiality — or only so in his eyes. Everything else has collapsed; social life, ambition, goals, relationships.
The shame he feels vanishes when his gaze falls on him.
Scara loved him with all of his heart, the weight heavy as lead, sinking him down to his lowest. He couldn't stop the skip of a heartbeat when Albedo was around, couldn't ignore the disgusting envy which nauseated him when he so much as glanced at another person.
Falling inlove with him was the worst mistake he's ever made, even if he never possessed the control to choose.
It clawed him inside out as his emotion's entire stability relied on this one boy. Every glance, every smile, every touch which wasn't directed towards him hurt so much it tore through his skin.
It hurt so much; he tore through his skin.

And if any of you sniveling cockroaches get any ideas otherwise, I’ll kill all of you first.”When the Wanderer first stumbles across a group scheming to kill the Raiden Shogun, he gets rid of them. After all, his revenge is meaningless if some random human manages to kill Ei first. And when more groups begin cropping up, it's only natural that he destroys them too. There's just one issue: he's somehow managed to garner a reputation as... Raiden Ei's protector?
