I still enjoy the game, don't get me wrong. It's just that creating content for it is just something that doesn't interest me anymore.

Everyone's favourite hero finally participates in his own quest for hearts... and it ends someplace unexpected.
Since this is a new ship as far as I can tell, I hereby christen it "Candy Apple". An explanation as to why is in the notes of Chapter 2.

This is a fic I've been sitting on for a while, and since I started to get writer's block on some of my other ones, I decided to finally start focusing on it more.
Now, grab a chair, settle down, and watch my favourite two idiots (apart from Kel) grow closer together over card battles, training, and hanging out with the hooligans.
Explore the mind of The Maverick as he goes through life, the people close to him being there for him every step of the way, and watch him emerge a new person, genuinely confident and happy about who he is.
He needs more love, and I'm going to give it to him whether you like it or not! :D

So basically this is a chatfic/normal fic hybrid. It's technically a sequel to what happens in the first work in this series, but you don't have to read it to know what's going on.
