“Lixie,” Lee Minho muttered, his tone sharp, yet almost whining, “see your annoying friend has gotten us a guest.”
Jisung nearly thought he was already dead, the way the clan leader’s words hung in the air. But Seungmin, his kidnapper, for the loss of a better word, only huffed, still loosening the straps that had bound Jisung to him. The magician’s calm was unshaken, his presence steady even under Minho’s piercing gaze.
The blonde rider—Lixie—stepped closer, his expression soft, almost playful, though his eyes gleamed with something sharper. “If Seungminnie wants, he gets it,” he said, voice lilting with amusement. He leaned in, close enough that Jisung could feel the weight of his attention. “Who are you, sweetie?”

Minho leaned back on his elbows, eyes on the stars. “I’m glad we’re here. Just us. It’s nice.”
Hyunjin nodded, heart thudding. “Yeah. It is.”
He wanted to say more. Wanted to tell Minho that he’d always noticed him, even when they were fighting. That somewhere between the shouting matches and the awkward silences, something had shifted. That he’d started looking forward to the rare moments Minho hyung smiled at him, even if it was just to be smug.
But he didn’t. He just sat there, watching the way the moonlight caught in Minho’s hair, and thought , maybe this is how it starts. They do need a new beginning .

The group drew the wrong conclusion from the wrong assumptions, and suddenly Seungmin wasn’t just the mysterious boy at the piano, he was “that guy who hangs out with Hyunjin .”
Changbin crossed his arms. “I’m just saying, if he’s friends with people like that, maybe he’s not good for you. What do we even know about him?”
Minho, who’d been listening to all this shit show in the whole evening , finally spoke. “Well he’s cute and plays the piano, I’m not going to marry him from one date either, I just want to get to know him, guys .”
Felix looked between them, clearly torn. “Okay but can we not judge someone based on who they get coffee with?”
“Unless it’s Hyunjin,” Jisung mumbled. “Then judgment is mandatory.”

Jeongin’s laugh rang out again—closer this time. Seungmin turned just in time to see him walking over, cheeks pink from the cold, eyes soft. Jeongin looked so beautiful under that polluted night sky of Seoul, not a single star visible ahead.
“There you are,” Jeongin said, smiling. “I was looking for you.”
Seungmin smiled back. “I’ve been here.”
Jeongin stepped beside him, close enough that their shoulders brushed. “You’re always on the edge of things.”Seungmin shrugged. “Someone has to hold the railing.”

Seungmin’s heart twisted.
He wanted to say, I’d stand on the edge of a black hole if it meant being near you.
Instead, he said, “Happy birthday, Innie.”
Jeongin looked at him, eyes soft. “Thanks for coming.”
Seungmin nodded. “Wouldn’t miss it.”

One day, Jisung will bring his firstborn there and will say “This is where your other dad fell in love with me. You have his smile, but you are smart just like me,” and he will wink to convey a fatherly message only he and his son could understand.
“Did you just wink at me?” Seungmin rolls his window down just when Jisung is about to tell their imaginary son to be nice and confident so he can score a wife as beautiful as Seungmin.
“Yeah,” Jisung shrugs and goes around the car to take a place. Fuck. He should round it from the front so Seungmin could notice the kittenish roll of his hips. But he doesn’t give up, he winks at Seungmin again after closing the door. “Hi, Weed Cutie.”
OR: Jisung doesn't smoke, but that certainly doesn't stop him from buying weed from a cute dealer. (He wants to marry him and maybe take him to a SHINee concert.)
