Alfie looks up to Charlie Spring. Which is why he will vote for him for Head Boy. But that's not where his story ends. Alfie never really had a choice about coming out. People just assumed he was gay because of the way he looked and the way he acted. He wants to prove that his love is not just something for them to assume. He wants to show the world that love is an emotion, not a legal argument. But there's one problem. No one seems to like him.
