Blood stained the ground like a sin that could never be washed clean. As Lomedy’s golden eyes grew glassy, Flame collapsed under a sentence of divine punishment; he had sinned, yet his best friend was the one being sacrificed. Stupid, foolish Flame who was the reason for getting into this situation.
"Will y-you take me to see the sunflowers bloom once m-more?" Lomedy breathed, begging for a heaven they would never reach again.
"Of course." A useless vow for a tragedy already written in stone. Anything for you, went unsaid. Would it have made a difference? Maybe, maybe not. He just sat there, covered in his best friend's blood, waiting for a sunrise that would never feel warm again.
Then he woke up.

The sun here is awfully bright for an underground chamber.
Squiddo raises a hand to block the light from her eyes as she slowly opens them, blinking and stretching like she's been sleeping for a year. Above her is not the dim, sallow light drifting down from the sky into the cavity she helped carve into the earth, and below her is neither cold stone nor the bed she'd certainly die in just a few moments after waking up.
She's not in the guts of a death machine. She's not even underground. She's on a beach.

It's near Parrot's last days on Unstable Universe; he didn't want to leave everyone behind, leave his kingdom, leave his remaining friends, leave his brothers.

But he will save his kingdom no matter what happens, even if he has no future from the very beginning. At the very least, that will be the last thing that makes his life meaningful.

Parrot has a curse that is slowly killing him, a curse that passed down through his mother's side of the family. The victims experience physical deterioration, creating some kind of cracks that somehow make the victims look like a porcelain doll. Few predecessors live past the age of thirty. Some even live beyond that, but they always have a god's miracle. Parrot does not have anything to make his life longer, so he must live his life to the fullest.OR, OR
