The General dismissed her with a wave of his hand. You suppressed a frown, instead trying to focus on your breathing to control your soaring heart rate.
He stepped towards you as the Doctor left. You looked up cautiously, wondering just what kind of hot water you’d landed in. Unintentionally, your eyes fell to the weapon on his belt and you felt your panic rise even more.“Your name?” He asked with a hint of irritation. Not wanting to make your situation any worse, you opened your mouth to answer, but you stopped.
My name…my name…what is my name? Your face dropped, and you mumbled under your breath, trying to think as best as you could. How can I forget? What the hell is wrong with me?
The General sighed loudly, “So, this is how you wish to proceed?”
“No. I just…I don’t know…my name.” You managed, barely believing it yourself.
The General scoffed, “just what kind of a fool do you take me for?”

Summary
As Luna stepped back out into the hallway she smoothed out her dress. With her attention on easing out the creases, she barely noticed who was making his way over.
Luna knew she should move. Say something. But for the first time since stepping into his world, she felt small. Like a child playing dress-up.
His dark eyes locked onto hers, unreadable but sharp as a blade. The scar that cut through his left eyebrow made him look even more intimidating up close.
“Who the fuck are you?”

He wiped his mouth with the back of his sleeve. “You’re here now, so what?” He took another mouthful of noodles, and pushed the other container towards you. “Just try some, they’re the best in town.”
You eyed him hesitantly.
It wasn’t so long ago that you would have been repulsed just being in the same room as this man. And now you were sharing a meal together.
He leaned back on his Lazyboy, holding his container as he continued to chew. “It should be a crime to waste good food like that.”

“Please, take a seat.” Hux gestured, and the translator obliged cautiously. “I apologise for this rather rash way of initiating an interview, however I wish to offer you a position.”
Surprise washed across the girl’s face, but she was quick to respond. “I am very honoured General, however I have a current contract that cannot be amended. I must decline.”
“You have interpreted this incorrectly. The role will be for a month, and we will offer you more than five times your current salary and a catered living space.”
Her eyes widened slightly in shock, but still, she remained unsure. “This is a very generous offer, General, but I recommend discussing this with my employer. I am not sure-”
“Actually, they have already agreed."

“You’re coming with us,” he said, his voice cold and mechanical through the modulator.
Liora’s knees buckled. She gritted her teeth, refusing to cry or show weakness. She could barely register what was happening, but she knew she couldn't give into them. No matter what they tried. She pulled against the grip on her arms, but they held her firm, dragging her down the corridor with her boots trailing along the floor. The dreadnought shuddered beneath her feet as another explosion rocked the ship. She glanced at the walls, at the faint vibration of the charges she’d planted doing their work.
At least it wasn’t for nothing, she thought bitterly.
Hurting them is all that matters.

In a galaxy on the brink, you are a force-sensitive from Naboo's moon of Rori. A dead-end future is your only prospect. You are prompted by your remaining sanity and closest companions to leave and find somewhere structured. You are persuaded by a childhood friend to join the First Order, in which in a stroke of luck, you find your destiny taking a change for the better- or possibly for the worse.
In a war-torn universe, you find yourself a key player in a game that few are permitted to play, and you're not sure whether to be thankful or not. A story highlighting death snapping at the heels of man, unattended greed, shameless lust, and how compassion can affect even the coldest of men.

This is a personal project of mine that I started seven years ago. I'm planning on finishing this fic, just because I think about it a lot, even as a "real" adult. My goal is stronger first chapters, and reworking some of the original story for better flow and ease of reading.
