Summary
"I'm sorry to call on your day off," Deputy-Director Hill said, "but I have a problem that needs your particular skill set."
"You need a necromancer dealt with," Bucky said.
"Actually no." There was something in her voice Bucky wasn't used to hearing. Maybe surprise? He wasn't sure. "Not this time."
"Then what do you need me for?" He'd been given the basic agent training, and Steve was teaching him how to fight, but necromancy aside, there was nothing he could do a standard Shield agent couldn't do better.
"Shield has received a request for our necromancer," she said, and Bucky had no idea what that meant. Thankfully, she clarified. "Someone's asking for your help, Bucky."

Summary
Bucky's life was saved because he picked up the tab for a cup of coffee.
He'd heard of people getting rewarded for good deeds, but that seemed way out of proportion. Sure, the life-saving came with a side order of being a werewolf, but since that was way better than being dead, he figured he could deal.
Of course, that was before he learned about the vampires...

Summary
"Steven Grant Rogers," a voice said from somewhere near Steve's front door. "Professional inker. Maybe you'd like to explain why you're leaving us messages about our good friend Bucky?"
The redhead currently pinning Steve to the couch said, "Really?"
"Alright, her good friend Bucky. My tolerated friend Bucky."
"My phone's on the table," Steve ground out. "Grab it, have a look at the last picture."
The guy grabbed it, and his obvious double-take would have been funny if Steve wasn't being crushed into his couch. He held it out and the redhead peered at it. "It could be fake."
"That's right," Steve said, digging down for all the sarcasm that existed in his skinny body. "I scribbled all over my own thighs and took a photo so I could lure a pair of hostile weirdos to my apartment. That's how I enjoy spending my time."
"You know what this means, right?" the guy said, sounding deeply bemused. "Bucky has a soulmate."

Summary
At sunrise tomorrow, Bucky knew he was going to turn into a rooster. He wasn't sure if it was better or worse knowing it was coming. What he did know was that it didn't matter where he slept: his room, Steve's room, Stark's lab—it was going to happen. The curse of the were-cock had struck and there was no escaping.
As the elevator carried them back down to their floor, he started chuckling.Steve gave him a look of concern.
Bucky waved it away. "Just thinking. Curse of the Were-cock'd probably make a lousy movie."
Steve snorted, then said thoughtfully, "I don't know. Maybe it depends on what sort of movie you're making."

Summary
Bucky enjoyed his life, travelling from town to town, making a living from his minor magic. He’d been following the same route for a few years and hadn’t expected much to come of changing his routine.
He sure hadn’t expected the short, skinny blond to plant himself in his path as he walked into Briartown, give him the coldest glare out of the bluest eyes he’d ever seen, and say, "I know you're following me. It stops now." He glanced at Bucky's metal arm before glaring straight into his eyes. "Whatever you want I'm not gonna give it to you. So go back to whoever you came from and leave me alone." He paused, clearly waiting for a response, but Bucky had nothing and the guy turned on his heel and walked away.
Bucky stared after him. Baffled. He felt like he should be angry, maybe, being accused of something he hadn't done, but he was too damn confused to get there.
In which Bucky meets Steve and Steve meets Bucky and magic happens.
