Summary
Eri was a student at UA. Did she get the best grades? No. But she cut herself some slack. It was hard to focus on your studies when every year something big and crazy happened.
This year took the cake though. Eri was a UA Heroics student, it was her third year, she was almost a fully qualified hero and she wanted nothing more than to drop out and go home.
Because right now, being with her family was more important than her studies. She couldn't focus anyway so...
Why was she still wasting the resources of this school?
She wanted to be with her Dad.
She didn't want to be sat at her desk, crying everytime someone brought up villains attacking urban areas...
More than anything, she wanted to be at the hospital, at her father's side.

Summary
Midoriya Izuku grew up surrounded by villains. All he knew was pain and hurting, but he decided he'd had enough, and so he ran. He ran as far as his feet could take him, but it still didn't seem like it was enough. With the lackies following him, determined to stuff him back in his cell, he bumps into a (really scary) man. Little did he know that this man would save him from everything he never knew he needed saving from.

Stain was just doing his rounds. Going down alleyways, searching for false heroes, exterminating the plague that had infected hero society. He had never anticipated that he'd run into (or more accurately that he'd be ran into by) a child at too-late o'clock at night in a trash ridden corner of a bad neighbourhood. Even less anticipated was the brat being so incredibly obsessed with him. But at least the dumb kid had potential.

Uraraka Ochako was a daughter. She was a sister and a student. She tried to be a good friend, but sometimes she questioned whether or not she was even a good person.
Sat in her kitchen, legs sprawled across the floor, duster in hand, pots sprawled across the work surface, body aching and her list of chores growing exponentially larger each time someone in her family said "it's fine I'll do it later", she wondered if she'd even have time to study today, or if once she'd finished she'd just collapse in bed, fall asleep and wake up tomorrow at 6:30, ready to start the day again.
Something had to give, but it couldn't be her.
She wondered what she would need to do for her siblings to start taking responsibility.

Because Eraserhead saw potential in Izuku, so Izuku wouldn't stop until he was the best hero ever. He'd make Aizawa proud.

Summary
Stain didn't expect to find a child during his hunt. He also didn't expect people trying to accost the Kid. Deku helps Stain find out about a darker underlying power that needs to be stopped. Most of all, he must help this child save his friend Kacchan. But first, they have to find him.

Most of all, he remembers a life where he wasn't made to hurt people. At first, he thought it wasn't so bad, but was his teacher really right? Were they really only hurting people that deserved it?

Magical Artist Harry changes fate as it knows the HPU. He creates magic and saves monsters.
It all starts with a cupboard, a flame, a mysterious book and a tree.
But for real? Everything about this burnt it's way through my little English literacist heart. The themes running throughout the fic, and the different lexical choices depending on the perspective of which character. The descriptions used to deepen the audience's understanding of important moments, even the unintended fact of the chapter becoming longer and more detailed as they're being released reflects how more colour is added to Tom's life as he witnesses the creativity of Harry's mind.

He feels so acutely aware of the gentle fingers on his as they adjust his grip carefully on the handle. No one’s ever really been gentle or careful with him before, so he doesn’t know if it’s always like this, like there’s shimmery warmth dancing between them, little pinpoints of electricity everywhere Ambrosius’s fingertips touch his skin.

“You know, little H,” Tuffnut said, finally looking away from the fire, “We’re always wrecking havoc. It’s like our specialty. But you my friend - you are a walking disaster.”
“Gee, thanks.”
The roof on the smithy collapsed inward. Hiccup sighed. Ruffnut and Tuffnut looked at him in awe.
Hiccup hadn’t known it then, and wouldn’t ever know it, but that was the day that he first truly began falling out of favour with his father - and the day that he began falling into favour with the most insane duo on Berk.
Or, thanks to the fact that Hiccup seems to screw-up everything he touches, the twins follow him around for free entertainment. What they didn't sign up for was friendship.

Surprisingly angsty notes, especially when the twins mention their family, but they work super well and help to make the emotional impact harder in necessary moments.

I made the mistake of reading the war arc while listening to "My love is sick" by Madds Buckley. Was it period accurate? No. Was it absolutely heart wrenching?
Yes. Absolutely oh my God yes.
I kinda wanna read it again. I binged the ending over 24 hours listening to madds buckly and the Maine. I doubt itll make me cry again but never say never.
