Summary
In bed, they could still have the stars as a backdrop. The faux moonlight framed Simon's face and body nicely, soft lighting landing on hard muscle and scar tissue. Ryland already loved Simon's body, but seeing it bathed in soft moonlight, even if it was fake, had a way of making it just that much more delicious.
They kissed deeply, Simon boxing Ryland in without making him feel trapped. They both had long ago discarded most of their clothes, leaving them only in their briefs, which would most likely also be discarded before long.
Simon's lips trailed all over Ryland's body, heading southwards. His facial hair always tickled Ryland's stomach, but the warm tingle of his lips distracted enough from that. Ryland let himself relax down onto the pillows, his hands carding through Simon's hair while his mouth continued. He worked his way back up eventually, and the next kiss they shared was deep enough to pull a small groan from Ryland's throat. Simon groaned back, tongue gently pushing past Ryland's lips. Ryland complied and responded in kind.

Simon winds up in The Enclosure, naturally. Grace is super down to have human company on planet Erid, but he really wishes someone would have given him a little bit of warning first. Especially about Simon’s religious cult upbringing — if he had known about that, he maybe could have planned a better-worded greeting that wasn’t basically, “Be Not Afraid.” He really set them up for failure with that one.

AKA your average simon-crashlands-on-Erid fic but with a fairly aquatic twist! Very gorey, I actually gagged while writing it which I think speaks to the tone of at least the first chapter. I'll be messing around a lot with the themes of humanity and the effects of being connected to something that hurt you. Will probably update semi-regularly if I don't get burnt out, but this shit has been plaguing my brain for a good while now so maybe we'll get somewhere who knows!!!
