Summary
For what it’s worth, it was Jason’s night off. It really was. He was hanging out in his apartment, just… chilling. Watching shitty television programs. Eating leftover ramen. Y’know. Chilling.
But he’s interrupted by the sounds of sirens. They shouldn’t distract him, as sirens have never been a rare occurrence in Gotham, but something feels off about them. They feel too long. They feel foreboding. They feel new. And Jason has never been a fan of new.
So he finds a little songbird in a bit of a pickle, and it reminds him of everything he stands for. Protect the innocent. Leave kids out of it. Remember your roots. No more dead robins.
But robins have always seemed a little reckless.

Summary
Jason jacked a tire and got caught, but in this universe, not when Bruce is Batman. This leads to different things, one of which is that he is not Robin and does not know that Bruce is Batman. It also leads to the same thing, like he's still Bruce's son.
Or: Jason joins the Batfamily, but he doesn't even know it's a Batfamily, and has a chance to grow up, with all the curveballs thrown at him.
The fic is completed and a stand-alone.

Summary
He should be sad, right? Jason stared at his mother’s lifeless body and all he could feel was an overwhelming numbness. A feeling so blank and hollow it could rival the stillness of Catherine’s body in the alley. The quiet sniffles from his brother next to him was what finally pulled him out of his own head.
“We have to move her.”
“What?” Tim looked up at his brother shocked as tears finally began to stream down his face.
“She can’t stay here. Someone will eventually notice her body and report it.”

“This one is a bit of an escape artist,” the shelter worker explains, “and he can be quite reactive. Are you sure you wouldn’t like to look at another? He may not be a good fit.”
Ugh, this again.
Jason curls up more tightly, wedging his nose beneath his tail so he can’t see whatever ‘adopters’ have come to peer piteously at him. He considers the logistics of making another escape attempt if the door is opened—until, that is, a boy’s voice abruptly arrests his attention.
“No,” Damian Wayne says, kneeling before Jason’s kennel. “I want this one.”
Jason encounters a villain who turns people into animals.
Damian, meanwhile, adopts a dog.
