Summary
Grace, a teacher aboard the galaxy class vessel, the USS Hail Mary, is the only survivor of a teleportation attempt to make contact with a missing Vulcan research group on Theta-Ceti-a.
He is found by the lone survivor of the Mission (The B’leig Pey), Rock, who has been in isolation on the desolate planet for years.Grace’s mind is fractured from the teleport, and Rock is broken from the isolation.
Together they must uncover the mysterious reason for all of the gruesome death, and why the bacterium dimming the neighbouring stars isn’t affecting Theta Ceti, despite the presence of a Petrova line.The answer lies in the planet’s atmosphere.

A star trek grocky reimagining of Project Hail Mary, but with a twist. Nothing is as it seems! Science is weird when Gene Roddenberry is haunting the genre.(I wrote this because Im astonished that nobody’s taking advantage of the fact that Erid is literally Vulcan in the star trek universe. Also Grace literally owns a little Enterprise figure.)

Everything is going fine in Grace's teaching career, his students love him, he's actually imparting some knowlege. Win win. Then one parent teacher night he meets someone who feels like they could change everything for him. Only problem is he's not allowed to date a student's parent. At least not until the semester is over.
